There was a brief time around 2003 or so when I thought Sparklehorse's It's a Wonderful Life was one of the most brilliant albums I'd ever heard. But the band, which was basically just Mark Linkous's pseudonym, didn't release another album until 2006 and I lost interest and I haven't really revisited it since.
