Sure, James Murphy may have retired the entity of LCD Soundsystem, but this flyer for the upcoming House of Vans show sponsored by Toyota that features his project with LCD drummer Pat Mahoney Special Disco Version also features a D.J. set from Juan Maclean, so maybe Nancy Whang shows up, they all hang out together, some instruments get handed out and some songs get played. We're not promising anything of course, but we totally wish we could. The show is November 1 in Brooklyn, and Midnight Surfer is also appearing. Godspeed!

I rolled a 49 I was in heaven last night at Brooklyn Bowl (10/23). DFA DJ's spinning, Kelso Nut Brown Lager , bowling, disco fries, a Yacht show and best of all, a set from Special Disco Version . LCD Soundsystem 's show at Randall's Island with Blonde Redhead and Arcade Fire was almost exactly two years ago. Since then I've been forced to rely on James & Pats excellent Special Disco Version DJ sets as the band has taken an extended break from recording & touring.
