Best New Acts from Denton

Best New Acts from Denton Denton, a town about 30 miles north of Dallas, is the home of the musically talented students who attend (or drop out of) the University of North Texas. That being said, it has become a mini hub of great music. With the sad disappearance of Fry Street Fair in Denton, it was inevitable for something to pop up in it's place. Here is where 35 Conferette festival came in 3 years ago. 35C fest is the weekend before Austin's SXSW, March 10-13. Love us or hate us it's still going to be one hell of a show, and we'd of course appreciate it if you came out. MP3: Birds [...]

This Week in the Big D [Dallas Events: July 12th-18th, 2010]

This Week in the Big D [Dallas Events: July 12th-18th, 2010] What is going on this week in the D? A light but good work week of shows with heavily buzzed Dawes coming to Fort Worth which should be definitely worth checking out. You could also satisfy your nostalgic appetite with either Weird Al Yankovic or [...]
