I'll pardon the stereotypical indie fashion offensive by England's Spring Offensive, in favor of their video for the slightly nice "Worry Fill My Heart" (it's all about the moo-la). The saving grace being the wonderful use of sign language by many a' people in synchronous methods. They do hand motions all at once they do! And it's [...]

On Thursday the 29 th of March 2012 I wake up with my alarm at six a.m. and swing my legs over the side of the bed. I tamp the roof of my mouth with my tongue, a sponge a few minutes off drying. There is the astringent cocktail of blood and medicated mouthwash. I jam my tongue as hard as the muscle will go into the bulging, fleshy, ragged space behind my back top left molar, and feel the new tooth's shard up there, tasting the gum's blood fresher now. Sometimes it seems to have grown, sometimes to [...]
Oxford has form when it comes to birthing important bands: from influential noisegaze pioneers Ride, through the sadly defunct Supergrass , always in the kitchen at the Britpop party, to Radiohead , who not content with redefining the scope of modern rock several times, have seen fit to bless the world with a number of excellent solo works. Recently, revivalist dance-pop BBC Introducing favourites Fixers and math-rock futurists Foals have been upholding the reputation of the city of the dreaming spires. Tonight sees the latest in this distinguished bloodline of musicians hit Newcastle. [...]

There is something completely loveable about Oxford five-piece Spring Offensive . The music they make has that rare ability to be heartfelt but never saccharine, instant but always inventive. Listening to the band will more than likely lead to you wanting to scream the bands name from the nearest rooftop, however if the quality of their output continues in the same vein as latest single Worry Fill My Heart then there won't be a need for such drastic measures. The band are currently touring mainland Europe and we sent them some questions to find out how they were [...]
So sorry to be late posting this Spring Offensive video; SXSW is my excuse! It's for the band's single 'Worry Fill My Heart'; we previously featured the video for its b-side, 'Carrier', as a Video of the Moment last month. Catch Spring Offensive on tour starting Thursday in London; all the tour details are below. This video features a cameo from another TGTF favourite; hint: it's the bass player from a band that named themselves after a town in the BBC shipping forecast reports. [...]

The VPME Stealing Sheep. There's been baaaaa-rly a squeak from us about Liverpool's hotly tipped, harmony drenched, psych folk, dream pop trio Stealing Sheep, but don't ewe wooly we aim to set things straight and stoically resist resorting to infantile puns about sheep. They've recently uploaded an evocative new video for their track "I am The Rain" which is a bit M. Night Shyamalan's "the Villag e" meets "the Wicker Man" as well as recording a quite stunning session for Marc [when did that beard [...]

This is brilliant. One of our favourite bands from the last couple of years, Oxford's Spring Offensive , have a brand new track out and a super awesome video to go with it. In previous times we've picked up on singles ' The First Of Many Dreams About Monsters ', ' A Stutter And A Start ', and album ' Pull Us Apart ', and like those records this new one sees the band once again pushing the boundaries of conventional pop music. [...]

Introducing to you Oxford's Spring Offensives . The 5 piece have a knack for lovely melodies, dark lyricism, and creative riffs. Their new single, Worry Fill My Heart" is a spectacular track that hits far too close to close to home, with it's blunt realism of the current state of the economy. Lyrics such as, "All I need is a couple of hundreds, it should keep me for a few weeks.." brings to the forefront of how little we actually are presented with. The escapism of going to a gig for a few hours can possibly be that temporary [...]

We posted the striking video for Spring Offensive's " Carrier " last month, and now we've got a new one for "Worry Fill My Heart." It turns out these guys make some pretty good videos. The Oxford group learned some sign language for this one. They also shot one scene involving a bow and arrow that could have gone terribly wrong, but luckily only three people died during the making of this video. Just kidding, just kidding, it was only that bro on the left who died. RIP.

Did you ever come to at a desk halfway through your twenties, eyes blurring from too many computer screens and coffees, and think 'How on earth did I get here?' Ever stared at your twisting feet on the kitchen floor and felt an inch tall because you're asking your parents for a few quid to see you right until the end of the month, or just until some vague and fuzzy future point? Is your guitar dusty from leaning for weeks or months against your basement or bedroom or garage wall, connected to more pedals than [...]
We seem to be getting overwhelmed by high quality videos at the moment so it would be churlish and not a little selfish of us not to share some of the best with you. Kicking off is the wonderful video for the delicately beautiful Tuck The Darkness In from the Bowerbirds new album The Clearing . a Next we have Cheyenne Marie Mize and a video for her adventurous track Wishing Well from [...]

Spring Offensive is a five-piece band from Oxford, UK, that cites such acts as Death Cab for Cutie as one of their influences. Their latest offering, which is a soft, alluring b-side titled "Carrier," channels that organic, indie rock sound, and its accompanying visuals are equally arresting. This one will accompany their more upbeat single, "Worry, Fill My Heart." If you like what you're hearing and you live in Europe, check out the tour dates under the vid. 16.03 The End, Birmingham 29.03 Electricity Showrooms, London 30.03 The Green [...]

Because I just haven't quite done enough posts about Oxford downbeatsmiths Spring Offensive , here's their latest video, for the song Carrier . In the wake of the song, any sort of précis or admission of admiration and belief seems to come across as reductive or mawkish respectively, and besides, fellow Oxford act Aethara seem to have summed it up pretty well already. As they've noted, ' Ok, so this isn't metal! BUT... these guys are AWESOME! ' Carrier is the b-side to forthcoming single [...]
