To celebrate 50000 followers on Soundcloud, the American producer Daedelus is offering a bunch if his own reworks. I just took this one as an example. This is what he calls an adjustment. Everybody knows this classic tune from Stardust, which looks like a lot more creepier and dark, but sounds really nice. You will find the entire pack here !!! Rebel Sketchy was one of our favorite breakbeat artists in 2011 with great tracks released including "Acid Drops", "Square Dance" and "The Ride". To kick off 2012, he is giving away a free track called "Roll Cage". Roll Cage was previously released on Ground Level Records. Did you know this song was co-produced by Thomas Bangalter, member of Daft Punk? That's right! Way back when it came out in 1998, it was sort of unknown by most people that Bangalter had involvement in the song. Even to this day, people probably don't necessarily know that. Although, back in 1998, Bangalter's work with other musicians under the name "Stardust" was sort of hush-hush.

Andrew Briggs and Matt Pearn are the mind behind Eat More Cake , two fellow songwriters and producers who grew up playing classical music together, although they appear live in band format with Owen Charles, Alex Lane, and Kay Juliver-Bacon. Just by listening to some of their original songs, there's no doubt they are British and it shows by all the influences and how they sound. Down-tempo, electronic and hip-hop beats mixed with pure pop attitude, melodic and broken vocals, always with a distinct British accent. Eat More Cake are a bit of all this [...]

London-based songwriting collective Eat More Cake took on a big task when adding their name to the long, long list of artists who have remixed the Stardust classic "Music Sounds Better With You." Such is the abundance of remixes of the track it [...]

You might remember Eat More Cake's remix of Stardust's Music Sounds Better With You , which I dismissed but everyone else loved. This is back as part of an album's worth of remixes. The choices aren't particularly adventurous but the remixes are all party solid. 1. Stardust - Music Sounds Better With You 2. Evryone - Thrill Seeking 3. Little Specks of Blood Lust Blood - Music Box 4. David E Sugar - Flea Market 5. One EskimO - Kandi [...]

I forgot how much I've enjoyed the directing efforts of Matthew Vaughn until Den of Geek reminded me. He's only made four movies, but all of them - Layer Cake, Stardust, Kick-Ass, X-Men: First Class - have been stellar genre works. Stardust is certainly the weakest of the four, but even then it has its campy moments. Layer Cake and Kick-Ass are bomb, though.

I can't help but think of the Stardust classic Music Sounds Better With You when I listen to this Bit Funk track — that's a huge compliment, considering that song is a staple in house music. And although titled "Rap Music", there's absolutely none of that here. Trust me. I searched high and low. Bit Funk - Rap Music.mp3

Do you remember when I told you guys a couple of weeks ago that Empire of the Sun was going to make a new album? NME is reporting that Luke Steele and Nick Littlemore have reunited to create a second EOTS album. This piece of news is of great joy to me and to fans across the globe that have been anxiously awaiting a second album that most thought wasn't going to come due to Littlemore's involvement with PNAU and participation in Cirque du Soleil. Patrick and Augustus of Bright & Shiny made the trek out to Los Angeles at the beginning of this august to attend the HARD summer music festival in LA, an event we were equally drawn to for its impressively diverse lineup and for the promise of legendary after parties. We are going to take you through a chronological journey of our festival goings. The first act we made it in in time to see
