Fabulous There was supposed to be a guest mixtape here today but the dude flaked out on us. For shame! So you're stuck with me ( @thelastminute ) and this hastily tossed salad this week. Sorry if the levels are a bit off. Don't forget to support the artists and go buy stuff! Obligatory personal update: Dorothy and I are currently driving across sunny Florida as you listen to these sweet jams. If it's your turn to curate next week you better not bail on us. [...]

Here's the video for Kris Menace's new single "Falling Star", off his upcoming album "Electric Horizon. The single will be released on March 5th on his own label Compuphonic. Kris Menace is gearing up for another busy year in 2012. Apart from his new album, the unstoppable German producer will release two more records from his side-projects: Black Van's debut album (finally), as well as the new Stars on 33 album. Excitement! I hate it when I can't get the MP3 out to you guys but this track "LUV" needs to get some more spins. It's got such a continuous throwback night vibe. A track for Sunday. Stars On 33: "LUV" [ mp3 ]

Photo by Annett Holmvik 'Something You Can Feel' has been on repeat these last few days. Delicious bassline. It's good to see something of Stars on 33 coming out too, which is the Christophe Hoeffel together with Lawrence Tompson & Radical Peterson - if those names don't ring a bell you might know that first person better under his alias, Kris Menace. It's one of several gems to be found on Aeroplane 's compilation 'In Flight Entertainment' that was released this week through Eskimo . Other favourites would [...]

Whomadewho - Inside World By Stef Siepel The weekly froth! A weekly take on six tracks, most of which have recently popped up somewhere in the blogosphere. Bit of a mixed bag with a slight leaning towards house, disco, and remixes, but generally just anything that for some reason tickled the writer's fancy. After this will be a slight Holiday break, but don't worry, come January we'll be back with this one in a hurry. Happy holidays everybody and have a little fun, do a little dance, and get down [...]

Stars On 33 is a project by Kris Menace and his two friends Lawrence Tompson & Radical Peterson, and they produce magic together. Their debut work has no vocals, just five great nu disco tracks with fantastic atmosphere and groove. This is the kind of stuff that you can just press play and let it do its' thing, each track flowing effortlessly into the next, providing a feel good theme for any of your holiday activities or anything else your life likes to keep occupied with. Off to a great beginning, the [...]

Christophe Hoeffel has been writing and producing music since the mid-902s, but most are familiar with his work since adopting the pseudonym Kris Menace back in 2005. In that same year, he joined forces with Lifelike and released his debut single "Discopolis" on Alan Braxe's Vulture Music label. It quickly became one of the year's most ubiquitous house tracks and an instant Ibiza anthem. Menace found continued success with his DFA project Black Van in late 2009, and his track "Yearning" was one of the most downloaded [...]

Okay. After several replays of Aeroplane's first compilation, "In Flight Entertainment", I must say this is absolutely one of the best fkcuing albums (can I call it like that?) of the year. Great artists. Finest selection of dance music. I give it 9/10! Vito, you're a disco god. "In Flight Entertainment" is out now.

Vitamin D1 Ingredient #4: Kris Menace Kris Menace, aka Christophe Hoeffel, has done it all. From developing artist such as Lifelike and Fred Falke to remixing just about everyone out there, he has gained the respect of electronic artist from his time and now. I don't know much information about Kris Menace as I only know him through his remixes and tracks. But a quick look at his discography indicates how respected he is in the industry. Steve Mason you say? not so sure about him? lets do this. Steve Mason - The Letter Track 3 from the new album called Boys Outside which I bought today (as well as a wildly mispriced book/CD collection about The Band). The album is excellent, genuinely complex and utterly inaccessible for the first few spins, like drinking gin and champagne. The Letter has had the most plays for me today probably [...]

The Laarks- All the Words You Cant Say Right The Laarks are outrageously good to the ears, the drums racket along desperate to play more and every so often another instrument or riff jumps on board and it all kicks off. There are guitars stamping and sprinting all over the place, the vocals crunch at the loud parts and the feedback occasionally cant contain itself. I cant listen to this song without envisioning the band onstage playing through what feels like chorus after chorus, no better feeeling than being at the perfect [...]

I think that anything that has been touched by Fred Falke , Kris Menace or Lifelike is usually coming from a similar place in house music. That place seems wonderful, like the first time Dorothy and gang come upon the Crystal City when seeking the Wizard of Oz. This Grizzly Bear song is already/has already made the rounds, and so will this remix. Grizzly Bear - Two Weeks ( alt ) Grizzly Bear - Two Weeks (Fred Falke Extended Remix) ( alt ) [...]

You cannot possibly listen to this song without maxing out the volume on your speakers, and lets hope they're not tinny-sounding Macbook speakers... Lets hope that you're either flying down the freeway with friends or tearing up the dancefloor. Rave on and prosper. Stars On 33 - I Feel Music In Your Heart (Kris Menace & Lifelike Extended Remix)
