When not enjoying a meal at Pakistan Tea House, Damon Hardjowirogo and George Stroud join forces to create music as Starscream. With an extremely diverse set of influences including bands such as Mono, The Octopus Project and Iron Maiden, Starscream create drawn out compositions that tend to be both soothing and destructive, kind of like when a distant white dwarf explodes. Last year, I saw Peelander-Z at Santos Party House and it was one of the best shows I've ever been to. If there was a Grammy Category for Most Entertaining Live Act Peelander-Z would absolutely be a nominee. So when one of my favorite live bands were added to the bill performing alongside two of the best (if not the best) 8-Bit/chiptune bands out there, it became a must see show.
