Apparently Anthony Green and Kenny Vasoli got together for a one off show at the House of Vans courtesy of Vans/AltPress. It also sounds like we'll be getting some sort of new material released from Vasoli some times in 2012. The Starting Line have effectively returned to action, at least as a semi-active band. I really can not believe this is Kenny Vasoli on vocals. The frontman of the pop-punk group The Starting Line, didn't really catchy my attention with his side project, Person L. His new venture, Vacationer , sees him take on a more personal dream pop route. The first track released, "Trip", is exactly that. After a few years on hiatus, The Starting Line are back together playing some shows and apparently writing new music. Here's a performance of a new song entitled "Luck" which sounds much more subdued and radio-friendly than what we've been hearing from Vasoli lately. The Starting Line have announced that they will be releasing the With Hopes of Starting Over and Make Yourself At Home EPs on vinyl through Enjoy The Ride Records . The vinyl releases are set for later this year. The Starting Line will be perfoming at Starland Ballroom tonight along with Hit The Lights and Such Gold. The show was originally scheduled for December 26th but was moved to tonight due to the snowstorm . There will be some tickets available for tonight's show.
In anticipation of a major snow storm that is set to hit the NJ area starting early tomorrow (Sunday) morning, The Starting Line's sold out Starland Ballroom Holiday Show has been postponed to Friday, January 7th. All tickets will be honored for the new date. This is the show, which is also set to feature Hit The Lights and the recently added Such Gold . Bummed? Starland Ballroom have announced that The Starting Line will be stopping by the Sayerville venue Sunday, December 26th. There have been rumors of a Starting Line reunion tour for sometime, no word just yet on whether this is a one-off show or part of a tour. Since this is all about pop punk, does anyone remember the Big Show 2 in Elgin? Zoinks! played that show as did Slapstick, The Bollweevils, Oblivion, No Empathy, Boris The Sprinkler, Jon Cougar Concentration Camp, 4 Squares, and more.
