Joey Santiago and David Lovering, both of Pixies fame, have a new project called The Everybody. They are set to release a split 7" on December 20th. The Everybody contributes the song "Marooned". The flip side is "Demon Oar" (gotta love anagrams!), a reconstruction of the a-side by Indiana band Stationary Odyssey . There's a Kickstarter campaign for the vinyl release. You can contribute, and pre-order here . Check out "Marooned" here: <p><a href=" http://store.dyspepsidisc.com/ album/marooned-demon-oar"& gt;Marooned / Demon Oar by The Everybody / Stationary [...]
Click here to view the embedded video. The sounds swirl around you in a disorienting fashion and the only choice is to go along with it and see where it takes you. This video follows on the heels of Stationary Odyssey's video for "Johnfriend" (also from Sons Of Boy [...]

Lounging Around in Indiana To some people the word 'post-rock' makes them instantly turn away in disgust, but if you're stupid enough to dismiss the genre all together then you're doing yourself a major injustice. Take Stationary Odyssey for example, these guys have been making some great music for the past seven years and they've uncovered many different ways to keep the post-rock genre interesting. In November they will release their fourth album Sons Of Boy ; their first since Head! Foot! And The Pink Axe [...]

It's not that we're Scrooges or anything, we just think that September is way too early to even begin thinking about winter holidays; we like to revel in the pretty changing leaves and crisp afternoons. We did mention a bit of holiday news before because it involved our favorite fake news pundit and some very special musicians , but now we're delighted to share with you a present! Joyful Noise [...]

Well, my guilt at disappearing for so long came to a head today and I'm back! I was inexplicably social and busy job hunting for a couple of weeks there and then took a week to decompress. One of the things I did in the weeks I was absent was attend the first night of the Pitchfork Music Festival with my best pals Ryan and Lisa. Good times, if you ignore the fact that the sound was way too quiet for a Sonic Youth show. Or any other show for that matter, really. Whatevs. [...]
