The BBC Sound Of longlist was released yesterday and it's the usual mix of obvious up and coming stars, will-they / won't they make it acts and people you've never heard of. Thing is, rarely are these nominees the actual Sound Of an entire year - I mean, in 2011 we couldn't move for Pitbull & Ne-Yo or LMFAO and they didn't make any Sound Of lists. We've decided to predict the REAL Sound Of 2012, based on what will probably be unavoidable in shops, on the radio and come the first Friday of every month at Club Love Machine. [...]

Guti is back with another EP on Crosstown. This time he teamed up with Fosky to create more of a raw sound than what you usually hear coming out from Crosstown, and the key word for this EP is Percussion and less melody. Okay, it's not exactly breaking news, but let's all be honest now - no one expected a reunited Steps to be singing live and singing well. Really well. Here they are on Loose Women doing some chatter and then performing their best song (this is not up for discussion) 'Deeper Shade Of Blue'. We skipped the chatter to get to the performance, but apparently they said something about recording new music. Sunday Girl has just put the video for her cover of Sunscreem 's 'Love U More' online. It's a strange choice for a set up (or should that be cross over - as she's just swapped labels) single. As a 'cover version', it's been done to death already. It also contains the lyric "you can make the sea turn turtle", which makes absolutely no sense whatsoever and is one of the worst lyrics in the history of singing. Anyway, we like Sunday Girl so we'll give her the benefit of the doubt. [...]

Steps are officially "making a comeback", ladies and gents, and while they weren't exactly at the top of our list of 90s popstars we'd like to see again, we're excited all the same. Last night, Greg Dulli and The Twilight Singers were on late night television promoting their brand new album Dynamite Steps. The band performed the tune "On The Corner" and if you missed it, or just wanna see it again and share with friends, you can view it below.
