I hate to admit it, but there's something inside me calling this Mobile Blastmaster awesome. It's definitely not the name or that it looks like something one's dad might roll out to a tailgate party or the rather obsolete built in AM/FM radio. It might, tho, have something to do with its 2,000 watts of power and its ability to play music from any Bluetooth-enabled smartphone or MP3 player from up to 302 away or the USB port and 3.5mm input incase you need those options. The three drink holders and bottle opener is a nice touch too. But not [...]

I'll begin this one by declaring an interest. Having taken on responsibility for promoting this gig, I may not be the most non-partisan individual to review what happened at Glasgow Stereo on Saturday 13 April.....but I'm going to do my best. First up on stage, despite what the poster says, was Anna B Savage who very helpfully stepped in at the 11th hour when Secret Motorbikes pulled put. Anna is a London-born but currently Manchester-based singer-songwriter who will also be supporting the main act [...]
We began the week with widgeted ditties courtesy of Bandcamp. To forfend jealousy from Soundcloud, we post the following loved ones. (These widget sites can wax pretty green, or so we've read/heard/fabricated.) Our Testing Lab reports that that first widget, of The Blank Tapes, doesn't show "Download," at least not yet. If you want the load, click here. Likewise with the Colleen Green song, so
Take a listen to the great track Geography off Stereo Telescope 's upcoming release On and Running due out January 29th!
Having its flat tyre repaired and generally not being as economical as we'd hoped it would appear to take some genuinely jaw-dropping ineptitude to get their Volvo moving with a shovel and two pieces of carpet? That's right. We too have been mellow on the already well-appointed SE Lux trim levels. Sixth gear on all these models, there's vast scope for tuning of individual aspects, so all drive differently. Get into a Ford Kuga with a slick six-speed manual transmission. The range is finally topped off by another five, this time the volvo s40 stereo. It now packs another 10bhp, [...]

Warning: Ingesting this remix of BB Brunes' Stéréo may cause extreme acts of jubilance and elation. Only take French nu-disco producer Jupiter' s remix of Stéréo if you: Can handle funky slap-bass lines that dig into your lower body Accept brightly disco-influenced guitar riffs Dig deep, groovily vocoded samples Are in need of 3 minutes and 30 seconds of a pick-me-up Have a severe headache BB Brunes and Jupiter are both residents of [...]

Sometimes you give a song one listen and you know right away it is an amazing hit. This is one of those songs. The Paris-based duo Jupiter published this remix of BB Brune's track " Stéréo " to Soundcloud like 9 hours ago and it is already blowing up my feed. Jupiter's thick groovy bass, funky guitar riffage and spacey arpeggiated synths get the party going, and by the time BB Brune's rock vocals break through, you are already entranced in a nu-disco mode.

We haven't heard lots of Jupiter's remixing since the release of their critically acclaimed debut album. Well, wait no more. BB Brunes's "Stéréo" combined with the French duo's touch almost sounds like a Jupiter original tune. We love it! It's their discopop at its best, right?
We were lucky enough to catch electro pop duo Jupiter last week for an intimate gig in Mancheter, and we're glad to report that they were excellent - especially the chemistry between Amélie, who was on keyboards, and Quarles, who was on double-bass, that made their performance stand-out from the rest. Well, they've just uploaded a new remix for BB Brunes and their track Stéréo, and it's an exciting piece of off-kilter disco-funk that showcases the duos knack at making electro pop with energy and personality.
Berlin-based producer My Dry Wet Mess will release his sophomore album, Stereo Typing , next Tuesday, Nov. 13 via the fine folks over at Brainfeeder. But before it drops, we're giving you an exclusive listen to a mix of all the project's tracks. MDWM has combined them into a nearly 3.5-minute mix, which allows you to hear just how refreshing and thick the production is here. Stereo Typing represents 15 months of solid work from MDWM, who became an instant favorite of ours when his debut, Irrational Alphabet [...]

The Flying Lotus helmed, L.A. based Brainfeeder label continues on its relentless release schedule, following the last astonishing release of Lapalux's Some Other Time EP, with an album from a Spanish producer with buckets of talent. The man in question is Giovanni Civitenga, aka My Dry Wet Mess and his new album Stereo Typing exhibits an immense capability to concoct R&B and Hip-Hop soaked electronic music that exercises the uses of layers to produce a thick, colourful and vibrant soundscape. This vibrant and engaging sound is created by a mixture of live instruments and [...]

Congorock has teamed up with Stereo Massive for an electro production with a Caribbean dance flare enhanced by a vocal from Sean Paul. "Bless Di Nation" comes with kicking drums, alarm resembling synths, and party whistles galore to create a celebratory ambiance on a naturally fast paced dance track. Once Sean Paul lends his reggae vocals, the song becomes something you would here while partying on vacation. The official release is available on Beatport, and if you prefer the production raw, Ultra Records has packaged an instrumental with its original. Purchase: Beatport [...]

It is hard to find a Sonos user who is not overwhelmingly thrilled with their system. The singular focus of the company is pure and simple: Deliver all the music on Earth wirelessly in any room. This audacious goal has largely been accomplished and Sonos is continually adding features, music services, software updates and new hardware options. However, until recently, one of the missing pieces in the high fidelity puzzle was massive bass in their line of powered speakers. Happily, Sonos has dramatically eliminated this issue with the recently released SUB . [...]
