Middle of the map spitter Stik Figa is almost ready to release his new EP, Choosy Moms Choose Stik , which so far seems to display an intriguing shift in the MC's approach. While previous releases were more jazz and boom-bap oriented, he's going for something far more electronic and bass-heavy this time around. That might sound like a weird change of direction for Stik, but once you hear "Self Esteem" you'll understand that it's completely natural. Given the fact it's the longest track on the album, it's not terribly surprising that Stik Figa and D/WILL chose to make a movie-esque video for Crown And Coke 's "The Build Up". Director Craig Smith has taken the killer tune and turned it into something wholly engrossing. Just make sure you have nine minutes to watch it all go down. You'll need it. It still might be too early to tell, but whatever, I'm-a say it: Stik Figa and D/WILL have what's sounding like a monster in the works in Crown & Coke . I'm basing my findings off the two album leaks - " Sheep Skin " and now "Space Madness" - and that killer EP they released earlier this year, #HappyHour , which I think too many people slept on. Here's hoping those same folks won't hit the snooze when Crown & Coke drops in August. At least, they better not after checking out "Space Madness". [...]

Have you ever listened to Kanye West's "Good Morning" and thought to yourself: "Shit, someone should sample Kanye's grunt!"
