Strandhotel Markus - die gesamte EP Vor einigen Tagen stellte ich Euch ja schon einmal den sehr gelungenen und groovenden Remix von «Disco! Disco!» der Schweizer Band Strandhotel Markus vor. Tatsächlich haben die Jungs auch eine komplette EP draußen, die allerdings etwas anders klingt, nämlich deutlich gitarrenlastiger. Bei den 5 Songs fühle ich mich zuweilen an Kettcar oder Hund am Strand erinnert, aber da ihre Musik erfreulich abwechslungsreich ist, lässt sie sich nicht eindeutig in eine Schublade packen. Die Originalversion von «Disco! Disco!» macht jedenfalls auch im Gitarrengewand viel Spaß und «Luftschloss» vermag durch einige melancholisch-atmosphärische Einsprengsel zu gefallen. Und [...]

Null Informationen, ein paar hingeschleuderte Links und eine müde Aufforderung Release-Infos mir vollkommen unbekannter Bands zu veröffentlichen. Strandhotel Markus - Disco! Disco! Promomails bekomme ich mittlerweile jeden Tag Dutzende. Manche vorgeschlagenen Bands höre ich mir sofort an, viele gar nicht erst und bei einigen entscheidet meine Tagesform, ob ich der Musik eine Chance gebe oder nicht. Bei diesem Track der mir bis dato unbekannten Schweizer Band Strandhotel Markus war das Glück mir hold und ich entdeckte eine kleine Perle, denn der Youth-Remix ihres Songs «Disco!
