I've been wondering what the name and who this is by for far too long now. I caught it on an Afro Monk mix a few months back, but there really wasn't any proper credits. Finally though, I found it on another mix and with a little more digging around I finally found the name to a sure to be Silence favorite. 'Cherry Blossom' is another one of those new soul songs with chipmunk like vocals. I hate explaining to people what this new type of soul is - once you put chipmunk [...]
I never know how to refer to this style of music. We'll just call it experimental, dreamy, electronica that would serve as the perfect soundtrack to a particularly trippy dream. Germany Germany comes to mind as a connoisseur of this genre, as does the dude behind that fire jawn with ... Read More

Windows down, volume (and bass) up for this one. These mysterious UK samplers have been releasing beats under the guise Stumbleine since 2010. This track is the strongest link in their new EP/mixtape Spiderwebbed and is equal parts ambient and sexy; unassuming and glowing. I love what happens around the 3:20 mark when the tempo plummets into almost a new song until the fade out. Get ready to snap along and pretend you understand the words.

UK Producer, Stumbleine, released an album this past fall, 'Spiderwebbed,' which obviously missed my radar since it's now February. A friend and fellow music-lover recommended that I check out the track, "Cherry Blossom," and suggested I put on my good headphones. I was hooked pretty much immediately to the song - it's smooth and a little infectious. The overall album is beautifully mellow and definitely mood setting (or suiting). Exactly one year and one day has passed since I, totem, published my very first year-end list for Salacious. After that successful go at a top 50 albums list, it's about time I followed it up with a fresh list for 2012 wouldn't you say? Now, I know it's somewhat late for a year-end list (as per blog standards) but I sicnerely hope you can bear with me for just one more....pwetty pwease? I promise I will make it worth your while! Now, a few notes before we begin. I've shortened my list from a top 50 albums [...]

Covers come in all shapes and sizes (including Spongebob Squarepants bed covers). In the music world the most frequent are, of course, acoustic performances - and those also happen to be those with the lowest recording quality (ie, they suck). So, it's nice when a band actually sits down and goes through the motions of properly recording and producing their own rendition of someone else's work. This playlist highlights 10 of the best covers that we've featured on Indie Shuffle in the last year, including multiple appearances by Radiohead and Neal Young. The genres are diverse, [...]

Beloved British glo-fi phantom STUMBLEINE already warmed our hearts here at NOTHING BUT HOPE AND PASSION throughout the whole year 2012. We really enjoyed his EP's Ghosting/Sunshine Girls or The Night Before. And his recently released full length longplayer Spiderwebbed is one of this year's musical highlights. Now, the shy producer shares a charming little

Nice late night, wind-down chill-out vibes: One of the members of UK dubstep trio Swarms has splintered off from the pack to release a solo LP under the moniker Stumbleine. He's offered up "Honeycomb," one of the tracks from his Spiderwebbed LP, which was recently released via London outpost Monotreme. The song unfurls in layers of warmth and easy-going, soft-hitting beauty; quiet hip-hop samples are nestled between clicking rim hits and blunt kicks, while slow-paced synth stabs flicker overhead.
