1. "Theraflu" - Kanye West feat. DJ Khaled & DJ Pharris. New music from Kanye, the first we've heard since Watch The Throne . A bit out of nowhere, but good to hear from Mr. West. Not really sure what DJs Khaled and Pharris are doing in this song, especially since the track was produced by Hit-Boy, but... you know... whatever. All in all a pretty forgettable song but because it's Kanye it's buzzworthy. Kanye West feat. DJ Khaled & DJ Pharris - Theraflu 2. "Shot Caller (Remix) (Prod. Harry Fraud)" - French Montana feat. March was an overwhelming month for good music, as we saw releases from a ton of awesome artists like Action Bronson, Big K.R.I.T., Curren$y and more. While a 16-song playlist doesn't do the month much justice, we tried our best to give you a summary of just how awesome it was. Expect to see new tracks from Bobby Womack, Swizz Beatz, Sene, DJ Spinna, Danny Brown, and more, on this mix that ticks in at just over an hour. Potholes Podcast (March 2012) Track Listing: 01 Bobby Womack - "Please Forgive My [...]
After seeing the title to this new Noreaga single, I wasn't sure how well a hook hyping a search engine would sound in the whip. Then I heard the beat, [...]
Abe Beame is in a different world and you kind of look like Jasmine Guy. Download: http://www.mediafire.com/?zg79 d7f82wf3bz7 Hodgy Beats - "In a Dream" As most people observed when this dropped, Hodgy’s Untitled EP is a vision of what OF could’ve been if the internet didn’t ruin everything. To me, the projects harkens back to when the underground more or less existed to provide atmosphere over sick production (i.e., Jedi Mind Tricks, Necro, J-Zone, J-Live, [...]

1. "Auntie Maria's Crib (The Neapolitan Remix)" - Nitty Scott, MC feat. Action Bronson & The Kid Daytona. Nitty Scott, MC burst onto the scene when she was featured in a BET Awards cypher last year and has continued to impress ever since. She brings hope for the future of women rappers in a bleak present filled with Nicki Minajs and Kreayshawns. Everything that Nicki can't (or at least doesn't) do, Nitty does, and everything stupid that Nicki does, Nitty avoids. Oh, and she's really cute. Sign me up. She teams up with fellow rhyme magicians Action Bronson & The [...]

Last year, we rewarded Lushlife's smooth, smart No More Golden Days with a Mixtape Of The Week distinction. Today, the promising Philly rapper put out the first single from his forthcoming LP Plateau Vision , "Still I Hear the Word Progress," a solid skill showcase featuring Yonkers rabble-rouser Styles P (a figure who is no stranger to the Mixtape Of The Week series). Stream it below. Read More...
Next month Lushlife plans on dropping hist latest LP, Plateau Vision . To stir the anticipation pot, the rapper/producer drops off his newest single, which also happens to be led off by NYC rapper Styles P. While you would think P might reign victorious over this sample-driven track, Lush does a fine job of holding his own and shining throughout. And don't think this is going to be the only banger on Plateau Vision as Lushlife has said, "I grew up as an album obsessive, so I kind of feel like I reflexively make obsessive albums, if that makes [...]

When the Jet Life meets the D Block, and New Orleans meets New York, interesting yet major music. Curren$y and Styles P , two hip-hop veterans, teamed up to create a short five song EP; #The1st28 . Extended Plays like these are always great because they highlight the true talents of the artists. Spitta Andretti is known for his unorthodox production and flow, and Styles P is known best for his gangster style, hard rap it creates a whole new sound. This EP is worth the hype and the download, so turn up the [...]
