Summer Camp Music Festival has revealed the first phase of its 2013 lineup. Along with festival staples Umphrey's McGee and moe., the lineup includes Trey Anastasio Band, The Avett Brothers, STS9, Thievery Corporation, Yonder Mountain String Band, Big Gigantic, Zeds Dead, Keller Williams, Lettuce, and more. In all, 75 artists will perform across seven stages during the three day festival, which is set for May 24th-26th in Chillicothe, IL. Tickets go on sale December 1st.
We have one of our first announcements for the 2013 Summer Festival season and it comes from the Summer Camp Music Festival organizers. Trey Anastasio and TAB will play two sets at next year's festival as per a note on the event's Facebook page . Summer Camp 2013 will take place at Three Sisters Park in Chillicothe, Illinois over Memorial Day Weekend (May 24 - 26). More artist announcements are expected soon.

I had a lot going on this summer, but that's no excuse for missing Summer Camp 's unexpected tie-up with an Odd Future rapper, the third track from their current EP, Always . But only now am I discovering thisd delicious, rich pop song, a fizzy hoot starring Elizabeth Sankey's exhilarating voice, bold beats and, suddenly, Pyramid Vritra 's muttered storytelling. In an exciting project for BBC Radio 4 entitled 'Short Cuts, Summer Camp have put together this song using archive snippets of BBC recordings from 1969 to 1984. Rather fittingly for the indie-pop duo the track is about flirting and courtship and splices various views and attitudes from across three decades to at times very amusing affect. The show will air on Radio 4 today at 3pm but you can stream the track below beforehand.
