After four packed days and nights of music, the Summer Camp Music Festival came to a close on Sunday in a fitting way, by extending into the sunrise hours during sets by Pretty Lights and Wyllys and the New York Hustler Ensemble. Sunday also saw two sets from moe. and a set from Umphrey's McGee as well as performances by a bevy of HT faves including Yonder Mountain String Band, Greensky Bluegrass, Galactic, Jane's Addiction and the Tedeschi Trucks Band. After enjoying both critical and commercial success with Welcome to Condale , Summer Camp ( facebook / twitter ) are back with a new EP next month on Mosh Moshi. The Summer Camp Music Festival continued on Saturday with a full day of music that included two sets a piece from headliners moe. and Umphrey's McGee (who also played a private set in the venue's church) on the Moonshine and Sunshine stages respectively and the return of Gov't Mule and ALO to the festival as well as performances from plenty of up-and-coming acts such as Sister Sparrow and the Dirty Birds, The Lumineers, Tauk and Orgone. Continuing in the summery vein of things, it's Summer Camp , who are currently working on an EP for one of the best independent record labels around - Moshi Moshi. "Always" (from a forthcoming EP of the same name) is a pulsating slice of synth-pop with a driving beat and duelling boy/girl vocals that combine harmoniously for a lovestruck, upbeat, 802s indebted jam.

Summer Camp have released the title track to their upcoming new EP, Always , that follows their charming debut album, Welcome To Condale from last year. We previously shared " Life " from the Always EP, and like that song, the title track leads me to believe that Always will be a winner. Hear the title track below. One of the first big sit-ins of Summer Camp took place last night at the Moonshine Stage where Grateful Dead / Furthur guitarist Bob Weir came out during the Primus set for The Other One at the second day of the annual festival in Chillicothe, Illin. The Primus/Bobby connection stems from drummer Jay Lane who has been the drummer in Ratdog since Weir formed the group and currently mans the kit for Primus as he did from the group's start until 1988. Last year Summer Camp released their rather charming debut album Welcome To Condale , a hommage to lo-fi indie, analogue synth-pop and John Hughes movies. It was, we think, a rather overlooked little gem of a record. Well now the British duo are readying the release of their Always EP and here is it's title. There is an eery vibe to the song's verses, before a primary coloured chorus wrestles the song back into more familiar Summer Camp territory.
