Refused - "Summerholidays vs. Punkroutine (Live in Brooklyn, secret show)"

As Wild Nothing crafted one of my favorite songs of all time in "Summer Holiday", I was ecstatic when Pitchfork premiered his new single, "Nowhere". Featuring additional vocals from Twin Sister's Andrea Estella, we finally get to hear a WN track without all the fuzz. While I'm not sure if I love that change yet, the song is still very easygoing, and gives off those beach desired vibes that I want so bad right now. The single will be out February 21st on Captured tracks , along with new song "Wait". AFter that, we can [...]

Dear champs and champets, yesterday Audiopleasures turned 4 years and i've been a bit absent first cause of my summer holidays and also a bit too lazy to return to my routines, this summer was such a utopia that im still finding ways to take charge over my life. Here are a bit of the highlights of whats happened while i was away, this year i went to Portugal by car with some friends and that was a hell of an adventure, to cross France was literally hell cause Paris was packed and the road to Bordeaux was so jammed [...]

Wild Nothing's 2010 LP Gemini has found it's way back on to our turntable and the band has found its way into the KEXP studios to record a live set. Check out their performance of one of the standout tracks from the album Summer Holiday.

A daily dose of Haruki Murakami Thursdays by Lizzy Pattinson " He went to the bathroom for a shower. When he came back, drying himself with a bath towel, he found her lying face down in bed with her eyes closed. He sat down next to her and, as always, caressed her back as he let his eyes wander over the titles of the opera records." – Airplane

I have probably played Wild Nothing's "Summer Holiday" this song at least 100 times within the last few days. It has been a bit of my saving grace. There is something so relaxing about Wild Nothing, that makes me want to listen to them all day. Formed by sole member Jack Tatum, their debut album, Gemini, is 12 beautiful pop melodies that never fail to romanticize the heart. "Summer Holiday" has an addicting guitar and bass line that will require you to keep the song on repeat all night. Definitely the most guitar centered song on the album, it evokes [...]

Wild Nothing, is the solo-project Lo-Fi shoegaze influenced of Jack Tatum, Summer Holiday is taken from the debut album "Gemini" released in 2010 Watch | Wild Nothing - Summer Holiday

Here is another quality song from Jack Tatum's solo effort, Wild Nothing. Chinatown was a great little gem and Summer Holiday's nostalgic and fuzzy sound will definitely grow on you. Gemini is in stores now. Wild Nothing - Summer Holiday
I'm not sure what the weather's like where you are but right here on the east coast of the U.S. it's between "Hot" and "Hotter". That's pretty hot, but I love the heat and gravitate towards as much of it as my body can handle. When I was younger my parents brought my brother and I over to the west coast of the U.S. and I wanted to see what it'd be like if I went for a run in Death Valley, in the middle of August. When I got back into the car I lost about 19 pounds in [...]

MYSTERY JETS - Dreaming of Another World I don't want to cuss, but shut yer pieholes whoever said that the guys in Mystery Jets look "sh**faced as hell." Apparently you've forgotten to look in the mirror. Else where, they have officially released the music video for Dreaming of Another World. I've seen the video in full 3 times and I'm not getting sick of it. I know you wont either. Shot in a French mansion on the outskirts of Paris & directed by Yoann Lemoine. Wild Nothing just screams summertime. And not just because the word is in one of his song titles. His (Jack Tatum) sound reminds me of sunny, spur-of-the-moment road trips and not having a care in the world. Here's his new video for "Chinatown," (from Gemini, out 5/25) with scenes from the 1969 short film "Clown" [...]
by kevin diamond I saw a young band called Wild Nothing perform at Monster Island Basement a few weeks ago, opening for So Cow and Frankie and the Outs . It's the bedroom-pop project of 21-year -ld Virginian Jack Tatum. A quick spin through the Wild Nothing myspace player, or a listen to single "Summer Holiday" below, should convince you of his songwriting chops. Luckily, Jack's put together a stellar band to bring to life these haunting tunes, adding a sense of urgency and energy that brings [...]

Jack Tatum is still dropping great music, making the forthcoming release of "Gemini" a problem when it hits in May. DWNLD NOTE: Right Click!
Haven't blogaruu'd for a few days. Withdrawal symptoms. Pretty sure it's being keeping you awake at night as well. Wondering why so. Pretty sure. Pre-tty sure. Sure. Not writing for more than two days kind of gets me a tad freaked though. Use it or you may just lose it. Or some gibberish like that. [...]
