Its Sunday...many of you are coming down from that southern western high...meanwhile I'm coming down from the March-like madness. Good times all around (besides some stomach issues... [go to the website to read the rest of the article, download mp3s and more]
The whole blogging business doesn't lend itself to lengthy rumination. In some sense the speed of the blogosphere helps to separate the musical wheat from the chaff; I have less time to waste on tracks that are marginally appealing. In another sense, a promising band who might take their time honing their craft can easily...

Oh man.. more Summer music just in time for Fall. My timing has always been awesome like that so I suppose I should be used to it. Sunvisor sounds to me like Washed Out and Animal Collective getting super high together in an Eighties movie. That could go either way depending on how you look at it, but I choose to think it sounds pretty rad. We tried to get more stuff out them but apparently they are recording right now so we'll have to wait. If you see Matt and Anthony around New York, maybe could tell [...]
We've arrived at the second to last mega-MP3 summer songs playlist/mixtape for 2010 as summer slips away, the days get shorter, the heat cools off, and people are planning fall activities; in the cafe, we refer to them as the Last Blasts mixes. Enjoy. 1. Black Milk- Welcome (Go Home) Black Milk 's upcoming album is pretentiously titled Album of the Year , but this man has reason to be cocky. Working out of Detroit, the guy has built himself up as one of the hardest-working producers in underground hip hop. He's not a bad MC either. 2. Cults- Oh My God This track was the last single to come up in Adult Swim's weekly singles segment . I [...]
![[Sunny Melodies] Blackbird Blackbird – Hawaii (Sunvisor Remix)](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/2665445_lg.jpg)
Artwork by Flego A lot of times the name of the band does not necessarily correlate with the type of music they produce. However, the wonderful shadow of dreamy melodies that Sunvisor has provided us this summer is both refreshing and encouraging. Just as dailybeatz describes it, the talented duo based out of New York take their name very seriously protecting us from overheating our ears with their delicate and soothing chill/wave/whateveryouwanttoca llitwave music. Two days ago Blackbird Blackbird surprised us by releasing Sunvisor's much surreal, clearer version of Hawaii. [...]
Up until now, I've been unable to check submission emails for the past couple weeks. So here's what I thought was good. Also, a video from Moulinex. Pretty cool. Catch it all after the jump... A-ux - Neon Generation AEONS - Where the Sky Meets the Sea AEONS - Beyond [...]

Sunvisor is the New York duo of Matt Buszko and Anthony Gerbino and they are in the process of recording their first EP this summer. They've finished the first track and I think it's a winner. It is total dreamy hazy whateveryouwanttocallitwave summer music, and I couldn't be happier about it. Not to mention the fact that I will hopefully be going skydiving myself this summer, and this would be a great tune to listen to on the way up when my stomach is doing backflips to try to calm me down. We're looking forward [...]
Seeing as it's the long weekend we've gathered a few tunes for that long drive, pottering about the garden or just kicking back with a cold one. Inspired by the chillwave/hypnagogic/glo-fi scene going on State-side, it's a tranquil collection to say the least - so don't adjust your sets. A few names will pop up a more than once, they are close-circle, obliging each other with remixes and covers. Memoryhouse (who have just been added to the Oxegen line-up - odd) are at the forefront of the scene, remixing Mathemagic and Cloud [...]

Back from a long weekend in Paris, here's my weekly platter of five songs recently improving my ears' mood... The School - Let It Slip Welsh eightpiece The School mix 50s/60s pop stylings with some very modern Mark Ronson-esque effects - dainty keys, electro jingles and a general smoothness. With anyone else it would be like too many After Eights on Christmas Day, but singer Liz's classy drawl and the sheer bouncy goodness of the songs keeps the puke well at bay . This particular number also boasts some great rock gusto. [There is a video that [...]
With only one available song to date, NY duo Sunvisor is already called the new big chillwave thing. Matt Buszko and Anthony Gerbino are about to release their debut EP this summer, so stay tuned. If it’s gonna be similar to this beautiful shimmering song Sky Dive, we’d better keep place for them in our year’s top lists. "Sky Dive" - Sunvisor from Single Release (2010) ... Its Memorial Day and hopefully you're somewhere being baked by the sun, drinking a cold one, while downing some bbq. If so, I have just received a track from New York duo Sunvisor that will... [go to the website to read the rest of the article, download mp3s and more]

I'm a pretty loquacious guy; the blog has been great because I get to indulge in instantaneous editorials about whatever I'm really into at the moment. But every now and then I come across a song that I really hits me and I have the damnedest time explaining what's so great about it. Take, for instance, Sunvisor's "Sky Dive," a song that I've been hanging out with pretty steadily since the duo sent it to me a couple of weeks ago. I've been struggling with my review because I can't get much past a list of all of the [...]
Mercury Prize Winners Klaxons returned this week with the first drop of new material since 2008 - but whilst "Flashover" is a pretty captivating listen, I can't help but think that firstly, this is just more of the same, and secondly, that they've taken the whole "sci-fi" theme a bit seriously, and dragged it out a little long. If the chaotic side of the band is what you're after, then they've excelled and expanded, but if you were hoping that during the two years since Myths of The Near Future was overplayed into obscurity, they'd been honing a revolutionary new sound [...]

New York's Sunvisor is that spacey pop you've been dreaming of. The band has recorded a new EP titled New Romantic , self produced, and tentatively scheduled for a September release on a label TBA. From the EP, enjoy "Sky Dive" below and look out for another new song from the band in June. [via Delicious Scopitone ] [...]

From time to time my desktop starts getting full of MP3's we dig but that don't quite fit anywhere else. In an attempt at paring down the pile to a point where my wallpaper is once again viewable I like to throw handfuls of them at you at once. But come on, you already know the drill. When the best (if not only) supergroup from the great white north aren't putting out New Pornographers albums, it's collective members are flooding the marketplace with quality solo projects. And while she doesn't have the golden pipes of Neko Case, or [...]
NY's Sunvisor are dropping some sun soaked tunes for ya on this beautiful summer afternoon. The duo are currently recording their debut EP, but wanted to give you a taste of what they got cooking with their track, "Sky Dive". Luscious pads, ambient, droned out vocals and a 80's synth-pop drum beat give "Sky Dive" the hazy feel that goes so well with summer nights and being young. enjoY! Sunvisor - Sky Dive
It's kind of a cool thing to watch the buzz around a band grow before your eyes; the guys in Sunvisor sent us this track a week ago, but we're just getting around to talking about it now. In that week, the track's been talked about by at least a dozen or so blogs, and [...]
