LA's Superhumanoids are releasing their new album Exhibitionists on June 11th via Innovative Leisure, but that didn't stop them from taking the time to record a dreamy cover of the Nine Inch Nails helter-skelter classic "March of the Pigs" from the 1994 album The Downward Spiral . The trio smooths out the abrasive of the original to almost make you forget about the political nature of the lyrics and turning it into a completely different song. Check it out below.

Ahora, tal vez hoy no van a [...]

Covering Nine Inch Nails and their distinct industrial sound is always a risky decision That’s why this cover of “March of the Pigs” by Superhumanoids is all the more impressive. The LA trio take away the aggression and bring in an ethereal layer of synth-pop dreaminess to warm the heart. This is how a proper cover should be. Take a song and make it go somewhere that no one in their wildest imagination would have ever anticipated. It proves easy to sing along as well, as the lyrics as so conveniently placed in the cover art above.

Covering Nine Inch Nails' " March Of The Pigs " is not a task for the faint of heart. Yet somehow, Superhumanoids have managed to tame Trent Reznor's cataclysmic industrial track into a soothing, Rhye-like synth-R&B track. Sit back and stream it below. STREAM: Superhumanoids - "March Of The Pigs (Nine Inch Nails Cover)"
Nine Inch Nails' 1994 single "March of the Pigs" has never really been for the feint of heart; it's got a jagged, unpredictable meter, and sounds so dense and abrasive for the majority of its ... read more

Robert Semmer On the list of ideal days on which to announce a tour itinerary, there's not many occasions better than the day the album you're actually going to promote goes on sale. And so yesterday, with the official release of their latest full-length Monomania , Atlanta's Deerhunter have announced the itinerary for their Fall tour behind it. It's an outing that brings them to The Phoenix in Toronto on September 12, and that leg of the tour also includes support from Marnie Stern , who herself released [...]

This coming June, Downtown Pasadena will once again play host to one of my favorite music festivals — Make Music Pasadena . Like previous years, the event is FREE and features quite the impressive lineup. In addition to thirty smaller performance areas, Make Music Pasadena will feature an eclectic five main stage lineup featuring popular acts from around the world. Confirmed acts includes Tanlines , Yacht , Robert DeLong , Hunter Hunted , We are Scientists , Taken by Trees , Simone White , Superhumanoids , Letting Up Despite [...]

"So Strange" is the most recently released track from the LA group Superhumanoids. I was able to catch them live a month ago when they opened for Local Natives. I was very impressed with their performance. Anywho, their debut album, "Exhibitionists", will release June 11 via Innovative Leisure. For now, stream "So Strange" below. Cheers. So Strange by Superhumanoids
As of late, I've been hooked on the new Famke Janssen Sci-Fi/Thriller show, Hemlock Grove. The show is ok, but the music up to now has been quite good. Superhumanoids is one of the bands that are played in the program and "Geri " is one of those songs that just stays in your mind as it plays in one of the scenes. The Los Angeles band is composed of three members: Cameron, Sarah, and Max. They are currently touring in the west coast and are worth [...]
What first made me fall in love with Superhumanoids was the band’s clever blend of pop songwriting and elegant, subtly experimental electronica. On new single “So Strange,” however, the LA trio strips back some of the synths and post-production, letting Sarah Chernoff’s unique vocals shine. The track, which was featured on The New York Times Magazine website on Monday , will be included on Superhumanoids’ forthcoming debut album Exhibitionists , out June 11th on Innovative Leisure . Watch a gorgeous live studio performance above, and then stream the original below. [...]
Superhumanoids’ “So Strange” is about love in a place that isn’t really a place. Some may take this for an ethereal romance, flung across dreamy distances. Others will pick up on the hint in the opening lines about driving, culminating in “you make me hate this town”: ah, so it's Los Angeles then. Either way, the track, taken from their new album, “Exhibitionists”, should earn legions of fans. Every element is superb, from the tasteful funk guitars curling over the casual kick of the drums, to the iridescent smear of synth, to Sarah Chernoff and Cameron Parkins dueting as lovers [...]

Los Angeles pop connoisseurs Superhumanoids pull through again with another dreamy track from their forthcoming LP, Exhibitionists . After recently signing with up-and-coming LA label Innovative Leisure and putting on a few clutch shows at SXSW, it's safe to say the electronic trio are going places. According to the band, their recent single, "So Strange," was written in the "dead of summer." The track finds a delicate balance between bright and somber, especially in Sarah Chernoff and Cameron Parkin's contrasting but equally gorgeous vocals. Exhibitionists comes in the wake [...]

A Quick Word from the Author: I made a joke to a friend the other day that the Indie Sabbath is a bit like The Daily Show with Jon Stewart—as in we both go on random hiatuses for extended periods of time, only to return for a bit and joke about our absence. It's a recurring pattern that I hate as much as the rest of you, but school, jobs, and my major work with Earmilk often gets in the way. Luckily however, summer is coming [...]

It has been a bit since we heard some new material from LA's Superhumanoids . They last caught our attention with the wonderful pop song "Geri" early last year. The band is getting ready to release their debut album, Exhibitionists , on June 11th via Innovative Leisure . To give everyone a taste of what is to come, they have revealed their first song, "So Strange," from the LP. The song is another breezy slice of pop that goes down quite nicely. [...]

There’s not many other bands out there better at putting out dreamy midnight music than LA’s Superhumanoids . June 11th is the date that their debut record Exhibitionists will finally arrive, and below is a new track from it called “So Strange”. The melodies on this just melt down into a quite danceable 80’s throwback that will have you swooning from side to side.
