Surf Club representer Chase N. Cashe dropped his long awaited The Heir Up There mixtape today. The tape has been in the works for some time now and is a virtual one man show. With no features, the only other people who worked on the album with Chase are on the production credits. His own name appears of more than a few of them, along with fellow Surf Club member Hit-Boy, Tha Bizness, Araad Muzik and others. Back in August 2011, we deemed Craft Spells as " one that got away ," as the band relocated to Seattle with the charms of Idle Labor still fresh on our minds. Cashe belongs to California's The Surf Club, the same clique whose members include Hit-Boy, who dons the title of super-producer after producing Kanye West and Jay-Z's banger "Ni**as In Paris". With Cashe's The Heir Up There album coming soon, it's likely that we will be starting to see even more of The Surf Club in 2012. Eating ice cream, summer romance, not thinking about what else is going on... Surf Club lives in Stockton, Ca where there is no surf but you wouldn't know it by listening to them.
