They're a duo from upstate NY (joined by two others in the recording studio) who make this hauntingly sweet and deceivingly simple music comprised of Meadow Eliz's charming, soprano voice and various and assorted musical backgrounds. This is a new find (following the tip from Rollo&Grady blog ) about this new band out of New York. It is a lovely sound from their first recorded EP. New York based Swimming in Speakers recently started following me on Twitter. The album art intrigued me, which led me to their MySpace page and ultimately to their music. The band is led by self-taught multi-instrumentalist Chris Clarke and vocalist Meadow Eliz. "Serve Them Well" is a sensational pop song, I've been listening to it non-stop.
