I've written about the indie pop orchestra Symfoniorkestern a number of times. I've always liked what they do. But in all that time I've never heard them really let loose...til now. "Get Dekadent (Or Die Trying)" is a full on head banging rager complete with screamo vocals, loud guitars and shattering distortion. This somewhat obscure song "Vilse" by Swedish band Symfoniorkestern came my way, and I am really enjoying it. It's apparently a remake/cover of a version originally made by fellow Swedes, Slutet . It starts off like a Beirut song, but then transforms into a dreamy lush wonder that sounds like a light soundtrack to one's journey to heaven. Now the band has released their third EP, "Den lilla flykten" , and it's better than anything they have released before. Symfoniorkestern - Den lilla flykten Symfoniorkestern från Helsingborg låter i dag meddela att de under vintern spelat in sin tredje EP och passar samtidigt på att dela med sig av en låt så vi får höra hur det låter. Själva kallar de sin musik både för mespop och lite ironiskt dansbandsdisco via mp3-tag, men utan att krångla till det så tar vi och kallar det typisk svensk indiepop.
