"If you want to make an apple pie from scratch, you must first invent the universe" , sagt singt der Astrophysiker Carl Sagan. Das Projekt Symphony of Science macht Wissenschaftler mittels Auto-Tune zu Sängern. [Im Feed kann dieses Video nicht angezeigt werden. Mittlerweile ist aus dem 2009 [...]

While I might be stressing over history PhD programs right now, I started my education loving science. I still do and thus get excited every time new Symphony of Science songs get released. While I doubt nothing will ever capture the novelty and sheer epic-ness of Glorious Dawn there two new tracks deserve a listen and feature for the first time some female scientist vocals. Symphony of Science - The Poetry of Reality ( YSI ) ( zshare ) Symphony of Science - The Unbroken Thread ( YSI ) ( [...]

I make no secret of the fact that I think this guy is a total crackpot for what I deem ridiculous theories that we are called to the sky because we're made out of 'star stuff'. I also can't stand the way he pronounces 'cosmos'. But despite my prejudice against he and in fact most of the scientific population who make weird theories and preach them as fact before they can possible prove any of them... the guy has some very valid points, and some very deep quotes. My two favorite are "A still more glorious dawn awaits; [...]
Chris posted a few weeks ago about Glorious Dawn - without a doubt one of my favorite songs of the year - and recently Symphony of Science has provided two additional autotune mashups about the beauty and mysteries of science. While not quite reaching the heights achieved by Glorious Dawn, these two tracks continue striving to spread the noble message of accessible science through music that remains expansive and quite catchy. We Are All Connected and Our Place In The Cosmos branch out into more diverse styles and also drawn on new characters including the immortal Bill Nye and Richard [...]

The Symphony of Science people have released their third song, this time 'starring' Carl Sagan, Robert Jastrow, Richard Dawkins and Michio Kaku, entitled Our Place in the Cosmos . I'm really digging these songs that this guy is coming up with - running old science programs through an autotuner to produce an interesting and thoughtful piece. The website states: The Symphony of Science is a musical project by John Boswell designed to deliver [...]
If you spend any amount of time on the internet, you might have clicked on a link to these videos. Created by John Boswell AKA Colorpulse , the songs and videos of The Symphony of Science are "designed to deliver scientific knowledge and philosophy in musical form." This dude sure can work that autotune. And apparently someone posted the video for A Glorious Dawn on Jack White's MyFace wall because he decided to release the track on a limited edition 7" vinyl through his own Third Man Records. [...]

From The Symphony of Science website: "The Symphony of Science is a musical project by John Boswell designed to deliver scientific knowledge and philosophy in musical form." One of my favorite parts of the "We're Are All Connected" video is how Bill Nye's enthusiastic gesticulating -- coupled with the camera angle -- perfectly emulates certain Hip-Hop stylings. Once you get passed the nerd factor of it all, The Symphony of Science's concept is really quite beautiful and amazing in both its sincerity and aims. [...]
