Tame Impala quickly became one of my favorite bands of last year with their release, Innerspeaker . After 18-months of touring with the band, members Nick and Jay returned to their home of Perth, Australia to get back together with their old band, Pond . With a solid catalog of albums already recorded, their latest of which being recorded in 2010, it looks like Pond is ready for some action. That 2010 album, called Beard Wives Denim , is slated to finally see the light of day in early 2012 via Modular Recordings . [...]

Australia's Pond features two members of Tame Impala 's touring band - Nick Allbrook and Jay Watson - so it's no coincidence that their music exudes the same warm, psych-y feel.
