The TAME IMPALA cover the OUTKAST's PROTOTYPE , sadly original version is greater as this rendition coulda done without the OP-1.

After Groovin The Moo in Townsville wrapped up, it was time to head down to Flinders Social for an intimate club experience with ALISON WONDERLAND and DZ DEATHRAYS . This was an amazing evening and the audience consisted of a lot of other big names who played at the festival. Probably the nicest guy in the Australian music industry, Vincent from MIDNIGHT JUGGERNAUTS was seen up the front of the dance floor busting a move, FLUME was happily chatting to excited punters, while [...]
Ya tenemos confirmado el cartel del Austin City Limits, así que la talacha de saber qué veremos en el Corona Capital es "más" fácil.

APRIL March And Aquaserge's self-titled album is as French as French could be - only it's not. A Gallic bread and butter pop album, you would assume this was music created in a back room off the Champs Elysee, by musicians sipping red wine and smoking unfiltered cigarettes, probably in black and white. But it's not - this is the work of artists whose day jobs include psyche rockers Tame Impala and Melody's Echo Chamber, Tortoise and 'April March' herself Elinor Blake. And with their CVs, you'd expect a modern, interesting, psyche twist on the sound they're [...]

Australia's modern psych warriors Tame Impala released their much-loved sophomore LP Lonerism last year via Modular. Here's a nice treat for you. Tame Impala is pretty much everywhere right now, doing a nice little victory lap in support of their epic LP Lonerism . This time around we have the guys playing "Prototype" from OutKast's crazy-genius Speakerboxxx/The Love Below double LP. Kevin Parker has actually spoken about how much he'd love to work with OutKast. How awesome would that be? [...]

Before there was indie music, there was underground music, which was essentially the same thing as what we now call indie, except, as the name implies, no one knew about it. In the '70s and '80s, there were reasons for why music was relegated to pop-up venues and warehouses and basements. Music of the underground could be abrasive or it could be druggy, but regardless of the particulars, it didn’t mix with the mainstream because it deliberately did not appeal to the traditional societal standards.
Austin City Limits Festival (they call it ACL Festival 2 save space) will happen again this October and they made a video about it. Tame Impala gets to have their song played as some futuristic-type visual effects display the important parties. This is way better than the time that guy Tosh.0 was presenting you the information. I feel like this is more musical! Yay for music! There's a lot to like here and there are two weekends to be a part, so get to it. Check out the full lineup and buy your tickets here. [...]

Filed under: News AUSTIN, Texas (AP) - Depeche Mode , the Cure , Muse -- this year's expanded Austin City Limits Festival will feature something of a European invasion with five of eight headliners at least partially coming from across the Atlantic Ocean. Also among the list of headlining performers announced Tuesday were Atoms for Peace , Phoenix , Lionel Richie and Wilco . The festival in Austin, Texas, [...]

The open paddocks of Maitland became home to about 10,000 punters on the chase for good music this passing Saturday, for the annual Groovin The Moo installment. We decided we’d take our cameras along. This year’s Groovin The Moo saw a broad collective of Australian and international artists take to the land of the cow to grant us some rural love, including Tame Impala, The Kooks, Shockone, Example and Flume.

Tame Impala cover's OutKast's 'Prototype.'
Yes, Tame Impala. Yes, at Triple J. Yes, covering Outkast: -- Visit No Rock & Roll Fun to comment, complain and kvetch
If you had to guess one of Tame Impala 's "favorite songs ever" what would it be? I bet you wouldn't have guessed that it's Outkast 's Speakerboxxx/The Love Below cut "Prototype." Visiting Triple J studios, the Australian outfit chose to cover that song for the radio station's ongoing "Like A Version" segment. The band turns the mellow funk-laden jam into a reverbed psychedelic number, and it's actually really good. Check it out below.

This is rather lovely... Tame Impala visited Australian radio station, Triple J to cover André 3000 ′s “ Prototype ” from Outkast 's The Love Below double album. Check out the video footage below:

photo by Emily Pietras Psychedelic rock band Tame Impala decided to do a little reworking of Outkast 's track "Prototype" from their incredibly popular Speakerboxxx/The Love Below album. The cover retains the slow burn of the original, but Kevin Parker's voice has a bit more innocence than that of Andre 3000 and Big Boi.
