I honestly don't think Millenium Cable can do anything right. They screwed up my bill last month, then, after giving them a solid two weeks notice to turn off my internet for August, they did...but then didn't? I turned on my computer today to work on my project and my aim buddy list pops up. That doesn't happen when I don't have internet. So, somehow they turned my internet back on. I don't know, I'm confused, but I don't care anymore. Their mistake and all I'm paying is the disconnection fee (a huge ripoff), [...]

So I've sort of had a writers block. I tried to write a post about how I just saw 2live crew play to about 100 people(at $10cnd a ticket). I couldn't quite find the words to express the weirdness. I wish my phone cam was better. My block has been solved by a package from Ryan over at Cat Bird Records. It contained the new limited edition version of Tap Tap's new album. The packaging is nothing short of fantastic. They proudly proclaim " Human hands made these!" Which [...]
MP3: TAP TAP "100,000 Thoughts" ( Catbird ) On this sprightly indie pop track, Bloggers' favorite-of-the-moment Tap Tap is somehow able to conjure up images of merry-go-rounds and field trips to the zoo without coming off like complete wusses. Their new album Lanzafame is available now. tags: music | mp3 | indie rock | indie pop

Tap Tap play that sort of sound that has been promoted pretty heavily by the blogosphere over the past year or so (re: CYHSY, Oh No! Oh My!, etc), but don't let that turn you off to just how good this band is (or those others for that matter, lol). Hailing from the United Kingdom, these boys make some seriously good songs that stay with you even after the song's over. I've found myself listening to this album almost non-stop since I got it, and putting 100,000 Thoughts on repeat for hours. Head over to [...]

THIS DOES NOT SOUND LIKE british music. I just hear north amerika. and foreign soil. and strange festivities. and a distinctive quality I would not associate with a band calling the United of Kingdom of Great Britain their home. This fact warms my heart. Which is reason enough to give them some coverage here on Nothing But Green Lights ( the only mp3 blog dedicated to new UK music !). Somewhere on the Eastern Front between the entrenched positions of the Arcade Fire and the Mystery Jets on the other, Tap Tap are in [...]
Tap Tap - "Way To Go, Boy". Out of the success of The Unicorns, Franz Ferdinand and "Float On" came a hundred and one squawkin' dance-beat indie rock bands. You know the type - they are everywhere. Especially on mp3blogs. Clap Your Hands Say Yeah! were the first big breakthrough - and with their ridiculous name, massive hype and horrible live show, it's not surprising the backlash is what it is. Still, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah is the only album of this 2005-2006 genre that gives me any measure of satisfaction. I have no love whatever for Tapes 'n [...]

Tap Tap - "100 000 Thoughts" mp3 Taken from Tap Tap's Lanzafame album on Catbirdseat . And it's not Alec Ounsworth on vocals even if you think so. However, I couldn't resist ordering this album, half because of the beautiful handmade limited edition version. I'll let you know later how's the rest of the album. At least this song have enjoyed attention from many blogs during last ten days or so. Beirut - "Postcards From Italy" mp3 Taken from [...]
Hey, I've got your toe tap tappin', hand clappin', finger snappin' soundtrack for this weekend... right here. Tap Tap are the (British) band and Catbird Records is the label. I like this song a lot, so will you, but I've got to say it shows a leap from the few downloadable songs available on the band's myspace page. This song shows a startling confidence and joy in making music. It's great

I'm completely bowled over by what I hear from Tracy Huffman , his new record Ever Notice A Crow and the Californian label Boronda Records . I mean honestly it's as if a truck rolled right over me. The song "California" alone totally negates the recent article in the New York Times claiming alt-country/roots rock is dead. That this roots-rockin-americana sound is coming out of the land of overdubs and backrubs (L.A. just so you know) is even more astounding. Click here to read the producers notes on the recording [...]

The Carbirdseat is among my favorite music blogs, but when, last year, they started releasing a series of records, I became distrusting of the site. It seemed an obvious conflict of interests, and while I loved most everything that the site recommended, I did not feel the same way about their unwavering support for Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin . Not that SSLYBY is not bad by any means, but I didn't think that they merited being hyped so heavily by Catbirdseat just because they had released something on their record label . I began to [...]
