Last year on April 24th, Mountains made their first Iowa appearance at The Picador headlining a lineup of experimental electronic musicians. They performed a piece that would become Etching , which was released by Thrill Jockey on limited edition vinyl only and is currently out-of-print. Koen told me via e-mail they will be playing a new composition for this tour that they debuted during their recent tour of Europe. Ojani Noa, Jennifer Lopez's ex-husband, is threatening to make public her sex tape. His lawyers are readying up the release for as early as next week. I've never been a huge digidub fan. I guess I've never really been a huge dub fan to begin with so that kind of precluded the possibility of getting into digidub. Dub always seems too preoccupied with a kind of stoner melancholia, and digidub sounded too piercingly cheap for me.
