This was one of those shows where I felt instantly transported back to my days at Olde Club. Good bands playing short sets, and a PBR in between each. A great way to spend a Thursday night. I FINALLY got to see Team Robespierre, which was good, though a bit weary as I definitely needed to get up to go to work six hours later. I haven't blogged about Team Robespierre since July, and it's high time that changes. If you've never seen their amazing high-energy live show, then now is the time. This is Impose's first Test Patterns of 2010, and it's shaping up to be a great one. I'm also intrigued by the Silent League show at Bruar Falls, but I was so taken by Total Slacker's show at Death By Audio last week that I'm recommending this show. Definitely the most intriguing new stage presence I've seen in awhile. Plus, this Truman Peyote band sounds at least faintly interesting from their MySpace. [...]
