As always, you can click through to find out more about the artists we've featured on Lyric of the Day. There's also the lyric roundup after the jump ;) "You've got a job you hate. Just because I'm a big fan of The Office and I love Slow Club - here's Gareth , looking far-removed from his dorky self in Slow Club 's Giving Up On Love video.

Boy Crisis - L'Homme (Run Hide Survive Remix) Sheffield's Run Hide Survive is back at it again with a some hot new remixes for everyone. While the featured remix of Boy Crisis is definitely my favorite, all of these songs are sure to put some spice in your Friday night plans. Enjoy! Boy Crisis - L'Homme (Run Hide Survive Remix) The Twang - Barney Rubble (Run Hide Survive Remix) I Monster - Lusty For a Vampire [...]

First of all, here's the tracks I promised on my last post: Team Waterpolo - Room 44 (Louis La Roche remix)(AY! Edit) MPHO - Fix Ya Face MPHO - Box 'n' Locks Alright, so Eko posted some Ellie Goulding songs the other day. Since then, I've fallen in love with her, one of the best voices I've heard in a while and Starry Eyed is one of my songs of the year so far. So [...]

Team Waterpolo aren't a household name so to speak, but they've had their fame. Their first single, released back in '07 was made single of the week by NME at one point and thus they've toured with White Lies , Friendly Fires and Crystal Castles , CC blew up last year and this year WL and FF are doing the same this year. Team Watepolo are releasing their album sometime this year. Team Waterpolo - Room 44 If you've ever read this blog, you know we kind [...]

I do love the music that is coming out of the UK at the moment. It seems every 2nd post on this blog has something to do with that 'tea and crumpet' monarchy. Now I know that Australia's music scene is expanding tremendously but if you try and compare it to the UK's blooming and extensive musical culture then you will be laughed at. The electro-tech DJ duo Run Hide Surive is proof of this. The pair, Mike ( [...]

We've talked about UK duo Run Hide Survive in the past , and now we are bringing you some more stuff from them. They have sent us some remixes that they have just finished. One, is from from fellow Sheffield, UK Duo I Monster and the other is from Team Waterpolo Both remixes are pretty good. They Bring a club/elector vibe, but not a crazy one, and like usual, just the right amount of pop to catch your attention. Check Them Out! EnjoY! [...]
(photo by Chris Saunders) Last we left off with the Sheffield boys in Run Hide Survive , we sang their praises of blending tech house with the frailty of machine life. Today, we get to bring you two new banging remixes that Mike and Luke have done where they take their usual crunching pop hooks and apply the formula to fellow UK acts I, Monster (above) and Team Waterpolo . We think you'll find each track to be as brilliant as possible, with dancey, pull-you-in measures throughout the [...]

This is the second instalment of the 405's recommendations for bands that must not be missed at this year's Hinterland Festival, Glasgow (30 April - 1 May). Team Waterpolo If you plan on getting drunk then drink double the amount, because it's all going to sweat out when you dance like a freak to this band. www.myspace.com/teamwaterpolo The [...]
Sometimes we despair about what editors think constitutes important news. Fair enough, the story about the Home Secretary inadvertently claiming expenses for the two porn films her husband ordered is the funniest scandal ever to happen in British politics, yet the lack of publicity surrounding the one event that affected every single one of us today - the clocks going forward by an hour - is nothing less than dumbfounding. Surely the fact that TIME HAS CHANGED is just a bit more relevant than being told that Jade Goody is still dead. While we're [...]

Jarvis Cocker has been announced as the headliner for this year's Secret Garden Party festival. The singer will headline the four day fest which will be held in East Anglia from July 23-26. Cocker joins previously announced acts Emiliana Torrini , Toots And The Maytails , Team Waterpolo and The Golden Silvers . For more information head to secretgardenparty.com .

SINGLE REVIEW - YO YO ACAPULCO RECORDS - 27TH OCT 2008 - CD, 7" & DOWNLOAD Another review in the now long run collaboration between Winston's Zen and online music communty AltSounds . This review was first published on their pages here . When Team Waterpolo uploaded the first demo of Letting Go to MySpace shortly after forming late last year, they couldn't really have expected the explosion of interest it brought to their [...]

Today, me and 7000 other 14-18 year olds descended on Victoria Park for the second Underage Festival, quite a sound idea I thought, and loads of bands who I wanted to see were playing. It was simply like being in Topman and Topshop with a few quirky characters trying to stand out making an appearance. Arrr the youth/alts of today. Aside from that, which turned out to be entertainment in itself, it boasted an impressive lineup, but I didn't see who I really wanted to. I missed Florence and the Machine because of The Maccabees and I left before The [...]

Because bandwidth is a bitch, I'm nice and there's been a lot of demand for the Golden Silvers' "Arrows of Eros" track, I've re-upped it along with its more low-key B side. [mp3] Golden Silvers - Arrows of Eros [mp3] Golden Silvers Fade to Black If that wasn't ebough CatCutter records have released a rather nice free mix CD full of sparkling indie gems to see you through the summer. It's but [...]
