Wild City has partnered with gig venue CounterCulture and HUB, India's first anthology of electronic music, to launch Epoch, an annual gig that will showcase the best new alternative Indian music of the year. Arunachal Pradesh will host a three-day music festival this September. The festival is a combined initiative between Arunachal Pradesh Department of Tourism and a few local and out-of-state promoters. The festival will be held in the small town of Ziro (picture inside), which lies at about a distance of 150 kilometres from Itanagar, the capital of Arunachal Pradesh. Filmmaker Satyarth Singh's young venture Lights on Films has been working on a new documentary, called Echoes, about the underground music movement in New Delhi. Lights on Films was founded by Singh in January of 2012 and they focus on documentaries on art and music and have a special corner for short films. Echoes is a 45-minute long documentary that looks at underground music and musicians in New Delhi and how they have been managing to leave their mark on audiences. Dog Day Afternoons has announced Dog Day 3 - Holi Guns. The event will be held on Thursday, March 8. The festival will feature two stages, one electronic and the other 'live' music. The third edition of the Escape Festival was held at Naukuchiatal last weekend, between May 20 and 22. Escape is one of the few Indian "music festivals" that stays true to its claim - the experience for attendees isn't just about the music.
