Ian McGlynn - Gold Morning Mend (TEEEL Remix) Building the ultimate Summer playlist is in complete swing here at LYFSTYL so naturally when it comes to infectious synth lines and music that overall makes you feels like you should be frolicking in the waves at a beach you think of Teeel , so obviously he is making the cut for the mixtape. Gold Morning Mend is a stunning remix from Teeel. The original is done by Ian McGlynn I highly recommend that you check out that version as well. So hurry up hit play then instantly hit [...]

TEEEL is back with another new reMix, where the New Jersey based SynthWave producer get the time I'll never know, each one is a gem too, Up next is this reMix, we are prémiering today, of fellow New Jersey resident, singer/songwriter Ian McGlynn 's new single 'Gold Morning Mend'. McGlynn's passionate vocal delivery makes for the prefect companion to TEEEL's dreamy synthetic soundscapes. The reverb washed, almost Chillwavey, vocals lend themselves well to a quirky ElectroPop style, and a quirky ElectroPop style is what TEEEL delivers. By now we've heard enough TEEEL to look forward to [...]

Jim Smith aka TEEEL hasn't been on the scene very long, but his impact is already unmistakeable. With 2 LPs to his credit and a brand new label he started from scratch, TEEEL is digging in his heels for the long haul. After taking in a matinee showing of The Hunger Games , I recently caught up with him at a competitive starving contest... Violent Success: How did you arrive at your signature style? Was there a kind of "A-HA!" moment, or did it evolve over time? [...]
Amid so many bad videos I've had to endure lately, there have also been a few phenomenal videos that are worth mentioning... Let's start with TEEEL 's remix of 'Story Ends' by Monster Rally . It isn't exactly new, but it's an exceptional song and it has footage from one of my favorite sci-fi horror flicks, Lifeforce . Story Ends (Teeel Remix) Sleep Party People just released their debut record and this [...]
Well TEEEL is just a reMix machine these days. The past couple of week have seen him drop loads of new tune. Not that we're complaining, especially with his latest, a mix of Ana Lola Roman 's 'Telegram'. Reimagining Ana Lola as some kind of dreamlike Italo Disco diva, this reMix. Rolling bass and rich synths wash over each other building to a sweeping chorus, the vocals in this track acting almost and another instrument, weaving in and out of the electronics. TEEL has crafted the track to walk the thin line between dancefloor and [...]
Rapidly becoming one of our favourite producers, the New Jersey based TEEEL cements his reputation even more by reMixing the awesome New Wave outfit Selebrities . Taking 'Forgotten', Selebrities swirling mixture of Shoegaze and ElectroPop, TEEL pulls back on the guitars and drops a huge electronic beat and layers of thick, lush synths. The track actually retains the same mood, the same dreamlike groove, but the added synths give it that cosmic edge and the variation in the drum pattern shake up the track. ♫ Selebrities - [...]
Selebrities : Forgotten ( TEEEL Remix) - MP3 MP3
Today I'm featuring videos 3 excellent videos from past, present and future releases... Past: Gauntlet Hair released this video with a little help from ol' Hollywood. Yep, Arnold Schwarzenegger 's entire movie career can pretty much be summed up in this one video for Top Bunk . Present: Teeel 's University Heights references multiple movies from the 80s: Everything from Back To The Future , Gremlins and [...]
Synthpop so good even non-synth fans will dig it.

Teeel - Deadites Teeel - Marx On My Heart More retro-riffic Teeel tracks for yer earholes y'all - and that means more dark and delicious '80s-throwback synth beats to shake your booty to… See, we ended up wearing down the digital grooves off of the dreamy Amulet full length ( HERE ) when it was released a while back, so the more diverse (and more ambitious) University Heights follow-up has been a welcome addition to our [...]

SXSW is pretty intimidating to those that want to trek across the musical Disney Land that is this crazy festival. To an audience member it's like a Cheese Cake Factory menu and your decision could end up being a serious mistake. Plus add long lines to shows you probably won't get into (The Roots, Fiona Apple, Grimes, Miike Snow, The Shins, etc) and the walking (OH THE WALKING!) from venue to venue can be daunting. Well we here at Kata Rokkar are going to make it easier for you to check out bands you might like. If you don't like [...]

Teeel: University Heights - Teeel is an electro dream pop artist from New Jersey. After I first heard heard Teeel's Amulet last year, I admit that I wasn't super impressed with it. I liked it, but I didn't quite know what to make of it. Then I kept listening... this is where Teeel gets you. The beauty of his music is that the more times you hear it, the more new things you hear. He has a way of crafting songs in a way where each layer is subtle, yet [...]
What better way to ease yourself into the week than this new collaboration that sees TEEEL teaming up with Sumuo for some cosmic space-Funk. The result of this meeting of minds is 'Cosmic Collision', in more than just title. It's a glorious synthesizer workout loaded with soaring, stratospheric lead lines. the whole track is underpinned with some nice bass, reminiscent of New Order or Ned's Atomic Dustbin which provides a rolling melodic groove for some seriously space-age electronic noodling. Chilled and futuristic, perfect Monday morning fodder. ♫ [...]

Established in 2004, Moodgadget Records has been nurturing the electronic music making process for artists such as Mux Mool, SHIGETO, TEEEL, and André Obin to name a few, but that's just beginning of the list. Jakub Alexander and Adam Hunt built this label from the ground up in Ann Arbor, Michigan, eventually making their way to Brooklyn, New York. Now based in both Brooklyn and Los Angeles, Moodgadget has continued to break down the walls, foraging a new path for electronic music. Although this introduction is long overdue, some artists working with them have recently put out new releases. One being Mux [...]
Brooklyn based purveyor of introspective retro Pop Aimes has just revealed his reMix of Teeel 's Triangle Waves'. He's given it an energy boost and delivered a really quality slice of vintage electronic Pop. The original version of 'Triangle Waves' was the lead track on Teeel's 'Amulet', a mid-tempo, almost SynthWavey, example of post-Chillwave ElectroPop, all analog synths and distant vocals. It was a good tune, but Aimes has made it even better. Drawing on both the current wave of Indie-ElectroPop, with it's catchy '80's electronic Soul reference points, and bits of Italo and [...]

Over the past couple of years, Nashville-based retro electro duo Jensen Sportag have produced a pretty impressive body of work, including last year's Pure Wet EP , which earned them rave reviews from The Guardian and The Fader amongst many others. With their contemporary take on 80s music, Elvis Craig and Austin Wilkinson create immaculate electropop, driven by propulsive basslines and pristine beats. Jensen Sportag - Jareaux (Club Sportag Version) To add to their growing popularity, Jensen Sportag have produced a string of amazing remixes [...]
