Besides that one). Pop-punkers Teenage Bottlerocket are probably the best band out of [...]
3 chord only down stroke punk rock: somewhere, Joey Ramone is feeling a strong sense of pride. Teenage Bottlerocket has proven once again with their latest release on Fat Wreck "They Came From The Shadows" that they' are the modern masters of 77 influenced punk rock.Being a huge fan of "Total", I was a bit underwhelmed by their "Warning Device" release last year. Sure it was a solid album, but it

Here's a look (and listen) to some records that have been cluttering up our desk and inboxes here at YuppiePunk World HQ. Though none of these titles inspired us to write 3000-word soliloquys, we figured we could at least muster 50 and an MP3. BANNER PILOT - "COLLAPSER" If Fat Wreck Chords had a well-defined sound throughout the '90s, the label is rapidly defining its sound for the next generation. The addition of Minneapolis quartet Banner Pilot to the label continues that trend, with a sound inspired by Jawbreaker - or [...]

Photo By Katie Hovland"Good god these guys are gonna get carpel tunnel syndrome soon with all the downstrokes" Teenage Bottlerocket have released a new song from their upcoming "They Came From The Shadows" that will be released on Fat Wreck. The song itself sounds like pretty standard Teenage Bottlerocket, so hopefully this will prove that signing to Fat Wreck won't change their sound at all. I had no idea anything cool came out of Wyoming. I just figured it was a part of the Forgotten States like Montana and New Hampshire. Luckily I came across a band that has put Wyoming back on my map, so to speak. The band Teenage Bottlerocket embraces one sound. 1970's NYC punk-rock. Fast, sharp, loud, crazy. They just signed to Fat Wreck which is headed up by Fat Mike of NOFX and they're about ready to release their fourth full-length entitled They Came From the Shadows on [...]

Your teenage years most likely went one of two ways: You were either the star quarterback who dated the head cheerleader, thereby peaking socially at the ripe old age of 17. Or you had a bad haircut and were hideously socially awkward, biding your time until you moved away for college where you prayed you'd never come into contact with anyone who'd ever met you before (gee, can you tell which one we were?) It's a great time in life. And also a terrible one. Which likely explains why there are a ridiculous amount of bands that use Teenage in [...]
Nobody plays 3 chord punk rock like Teenage Bottlerocket... NOBODY! While these Wyoming punk rockers exploded in the punk community with their manna-esque "Total", they actually have a full length before "Total" that is damn solid."Another Way" features the pop-punk sound we've come to love from Teenage Bottlerocket, but is much more raw in it's delivery. Songs such as "Be Stag" and "Patrick"
Teenage Bottlerocket join Fat Wreck Chords Good job Fat ! "That's right, we just stole another great band from another small label. Identical twins Ray and Brandon Carlisle started Bottlerocket in 2001, recruited Kody from The Lillingtons, Fatty's favorite band, and put a couple of records out with our pals at Red Scare Industries. Known for their fast and fun live shows and small town charm, TBR caught our eye, and then won our hearts. The record will come out later this year, but in the meantime, listen to [...]

Everyone else is doing it so why shouldn't I? That's right, listmania 2008 is finally here and what I've got to present to you here is the first half of my favorite albums of the year. Love 'em or hate 'em, these are the albums that made the cut. I decided to stick with a list of 50 this year mainly because that's what I've done in the past and also because 2008 was a really great year for new music and narrowing down the list to fewer than this just seemed unfair. [...]

So yeah, here is the first of our 2008 lists which recognizes our favorite short format releases (EP's/7"/demos) of the year. Look for our list of favorite full-length albums early next week. 10. Broadway Calls/Teenage Bottlerocket Split 7" If you have any affinity for pop-punk there is no way you can't love both Broadway Calls and Teenage Bottlerocket . This is a ridiculous split and like tampered Halloween candy, these four songs are sugary sweet but razor sharp. ( Adeline ) MP3 [...]

Seeing Teenage Bottlerocket in a small (non-alcoholic) bar on a chilly Tuesday night? That means there won't be a lot of people... that means fuck yes. Let's get the one negative thing about the show out of the way right now: it was too loud. I don't mean it in an old person way, I mean people were covering their ears, asking the sound guy to lower it, stuffing paper towels in their ears...
A friend and I had a punk rock radio show back when we were in college. We had a total of two listeners... Me and him (and not always either... seriously). Like most music snobs, I completely hate the radio (but like parenthesis). For some reason, punk bands like to sing about the radio quuuiite a bit, I'm guessing it's a Sylvester-Tweety bird situation. Pursue it, but you're never going to
Pssst! Hey kid, wanna listen to some solid pop-punk who's biggest influence aren't the Jonas Brothers (sadly, that's hard to find these days). The split by Teenage Bottlerocket and Broadway Calls offers just that. For those who don't know: Teenage Bottlerocket plays Ramones style punk rock on speed. The best way to describe Broadway Calls? Let's just say that I seriously thought someone
