Any artist that can make electronic dance songs about cooking poutine successfully is seriously on to something. Omnikrom 's unabashedly French Canadian style and content is fresher than the ingredients they sing about and has established them among Numero and Teki Latex - with whom they frequently collaborate with - as the Montreal's top French Dj's who just don't give a fuck. Omnikrom and Teki hit Le National this Saturday so check it out and if you fuck up and [...]
Add NYC's Pase Rock to the list of hip hop MC's who are smart enough to embrace electro and use it to re-vitalize hip hop in a huge way. It's not really a question of who did it first or best - that doesn't really matter - actually its not a question at all, it's a statement. Hip Hop is back. Pase Rock - sexy motherfucker feat. amanda blank [nate day remix] (mp3) [...]

This wedge of 90's influenced electronic brilliance comes courtesy of Parisian based Surkin . Absolutely ravetastic , I can't lap up enough of it. A slight discussion point: does anyone else think music is moving this way in general? I mean, the 80's has had rather a monopoly over music (especially electro), is it now time for piano stabs, chopped vocals and baggy trousers ? Well, we're approaching finals here in Kansas, which means that I'm approaching losing my mind and potentially failing out of school. As per usual, I've been combating this future breakdown by nerding out to dance music during my time in the library not studying, and consequently I've got some tracks for you all. 33Hz have teamed up with Teki Latex and Devin the Dude to bring us "Paris, Texas," a crazy eclectic dance conglomeration of nasty beats, disco and three very distinct vocal styles - 33Hz frontman Benny Lowe's Prince-like coos, [...]

Pic by Jesper Berg Our friend Teki Latex hit us up with yet another exclusive, although the track "Go Go Go" is actually taken from his debut solo album "Party de Plaisirs" but here we get a radio edit with a new verse and new background vocals on the chorus courtesy of Gonzales . Another sublime track from the french disco master! Teki Latex (ft. Gonzales) - Go Go Go (YSI) Teki Latex (ft. Gonzales) - [...]
as could be every other night, but I don't have class today and tomorrow not until 6pm, which makes it kinda reasonable to do an evening post. Atleast it does in my mind. I wish I could promise to have Tuesday nights as constant mix nights, but there's a huge possibility of failure, so I don't promise... before I disappoint my non-existing readers -haha. Anyway, this is simply a random 9 song

Teki Latex was introduced to me by a francophonic friend of mine a while ago and immediately I loved his energy, his fresh beats and, of course, his fashion sense. Disco Dance was probably the track that made me follow Teki and his crew TTC's releases over the last year or so. Both TTC and Teki are making it pretty big in France and the rest of Europe at the moment, big ups! Recently he has been featured on the latest release on Modular, Thee Bang Gang Deejays "Light, Sound, Dance" with the Surkin remix of Les Matins [...]

One of our favorite frenchmen, Teki Latex , will be the tearing the roof down with a dj/karaoke set filled to the brim with sweet french electropop at the I Love L'Amour Pour Toi club in Malmö tomorrow night. This is something anyone within a hundred miles from here definetely shouldn't miss. To further entice you to get your dance on, Teki was kind enough to give us a track from his newly released album "Party De Plaisirs" that also features vocals from the illustrious Bitch Lap Lap aka Feist . To [...]

The internet is an odd thing. When it's gone you instantly want it back so you can Google that festival, find out what gigs are happening later on in the week, check your e-mails, use Dictionary.com to define that word, find out an album release date, check out the cinema listings for your area, research whitening toothpastes in order to find out which of the commercially available one's is the least abrasive, find out what the weather looks like for tomorrow ('cause you're praying it's a nice day so you can go to the park and take pictures, but you [...]
There's a myspace blog that's keeping track of Coachella confirmations and rumors. Of course, knowing how previous years have gone, take these with the grain of salt. The speculation is exciting though. More of the latest can be found on the Coachella forum. The following was shamelessly cribbed from the aforementioned site. PRETTY MUCH CONFIRMED: The Police (an legit insider confirmed the

Teki Latex - Disco Dance With You (Para One Remix) This is one of those mornings. One of those mornings where all I want to do is sleep, just a little bit more. Please? The reason for that is,...
So I'm back. Well, kind of. I got back from Chicago early Tuesday morning, and I've just gotten so much shit piled on to my to-do list that I haven't quite found time to post. It's okay, though. I'm gettin' there. And by the way, wasn't Pitchfork just fucking amazing? Liars, The Futureheads, and Yo La Tengo were in my top three, and Art Brut were pretty crazy too. And while Alex was busy hanging with the Liars (lucky bastard) I was busy haggling my ass off at the record fair (did I [...]
