So, my younger brother thought that his playlists are better then mine and opted to make his own compilation. Lyrical Exercise is a rap compilation, probably the only one you will ever see on this site. We promised him to post it here if he made a worthy playlist. So, if you know any rap lovers out there refer them to this one! : Download : Filed under: Beats Tagged: arts , Big Brother , lyrics , playlist , [...]

South African creative studio Radio has created a series of three poster designs to celebrate the upcoming season 6 of Mad Men which premieres Sunday April 7. Radio has created similar cool posters for Iron Man 3 and The Walking Dead .
Filed under: News , Exclusive , The Hit List , Television , Music Appreciation Mad Men Facebook After what feels like an eternity, Mad Men is finally coming back to cable. To celebrate, we used Sunday's season six premiere as an excuse to re-watch last season, over-analyze it for potential upcoming spoilers and listen to the soundtrack several times. Clearly, due to awesomeness, this led to us losing our minds. [...]
Adam Rayner stars as Simon Templar in a TV version of The Saint . It's unclear if this is even going to series, but the cast looks mighty fine for a show. Rayner killed it on the BBC production of 'Hunted' and Dushku is perfectly suited for this kind of show. They had my curiosity, but when Roger Moore showed up, they got my attention. Moore starred as Templar in the 1960s version of 'The Saint' and it appears that he's playing the father or patriarch of Templar family. Not only that, but Ian Ogilvy, who [...]

Netflix announced that the 15 episodes of the new season of Arrested Development will be released , all at once, on May 26th. It took several weeks for 'House of Cards' to show up on BitTorrent sites, but now that the DRM has been cracked, I would imagine for those without Netflix accounts or those sharing an account login with family or friends, the episodes will show up almost immediately. One thing I'm wondering about is whether or not the show will continue to bleep out swears. I loved it as a recurring gag when the show [...]

by Tony Best What's on Network Awesome today? SOLAR (Sound of Los Angeles Records) was THE hottest R&B label of the late 1970s and mid-‘80s. Rivaled only by NYC’s Salsoul Records, SOLAR successfully bridged the delicate gap between disco and funk during a period where both genres were struggling to find an identity in the post-Carter/pre-Reagan administrations. Buoyed by bouncy rhythm tracks and appregioed synths, SOLAR’s Jheri curl-slick music embodied L.A.’s hip (and stratified) cultural identity. From backyard boogies in Compton to roller-skating jams at [...]
Aereo is a company that delivers free broadcast channels via the Internet for $12 per month, allowing customers to watch networks on any Internet-connected device. It even bundles in some cloud DVR functionality. Broadcasters hate it, as I would imagine so do cable companies. Since going live with the service, Aereo has been dealing with legal action against its service. Today's court win is a big one for the company. The Verge breaks it down : Broadcasters argued that unlike Cablevision, Aereo lacked the proper license to [...]

On the show, premiering June 24th, a small New England town is inexplicably cut off from the rest of the world by an enormous transparent dome, leaving the town to deal with [...]

Divine Fits performed a couple tracks on Jimmy Kimmel Live during the week and I'm just getting around to giving them a watch. They blessed us with a track fronted by each of their singers. Surprisingly, neither was a track I would have expected, but that's just fine. I don't give some of the later tracks off A Thing Called Divine Fits enough play. "When all's said and done Leonardo, there is such a thing as too much realism in hi-fi!" Although spoken in 1964, the modern quest for high definition imagery leads down some thorny paths as well. Today we find our protagonist 'Clyde Crashcup', a Ross Bagdasarian creation, in the fifth book of his short five-issue run, seeking to improve his hi-fi set with mixed results. From the John Stanley / Irving Tripp creative team [...]

Apparently, the Lifetime Chanel felt 'Walk the Line' wasn't sufficient for a June Carter biopic, so they went ahead and made one starring Jewel . And it doesn't look awful?
