Let's start the week right...with a shit ton of new music. Yes, shit ton is a valid measurement! Today, we have new tracks from Cannibal Corpse, Tenacious D, 3 Inches of Blood and Terrorizer. Let's begin, shall we? Let's kick it off with a new song stream from the mighty Cannibal Corpse. You can hear ...
Sasquatch!'s 2012 lineup is officially one day old and that means it's time for some post-reveal analysis. In the pages that follow, we run through the biggest highlights and surprises appearing on this year's bill, in addition to the most glaring omissions. We also highlight five names worth knowing as you prepare for Memorial Day weekend at the Gorge. Highlights Beck Stalk enough festival forums and you'll see Beck's name pop up every now and then. Shortly after these wishlist proposals there's typically a textual scoff and/or write off [...]
I'm not gonna sit here and pretend that I never liked Tenacious D - fuck, dude, I loved Tenacious D. I watched their show on HBO, I bought their first album the day it came out in 2001, and I saw them live in concert. I though they were great. But then Jack Black way outstayed [...]
What joy we festival lovers received today! Aye, the line-ups for two of the best festivals of the summer, Sasquatch and Primavera Sound, were released, and are they ever a gift from the festival deities on high. Both are absolutely stuffed with bands that we love and have been geeking out over for months if not years. Sasquatch, one of our favorite line-ups from last year as well, boasts artists that will sound breathtaking in the Gorge. The dreams you have about seeing Bon Iver under the stars and surrounded by landscapes as picturesque [...]

Yeah, seriously. If they're not browsing /b/ or Reddit, males between the ages of 11-17 will probably spend at least 48 seconds doing something else on the Internet today. That's right, rock-duo Tenacious D are back...even though their last work defined commercial flop. Back before Jack Black had tarnished his career with faults like Gulliver's Travels , Year One , and yes, Nacho Libre , the D carried a lot of [...]
The Pacific Northwest Festival we've all been waiting for has just announced a killer lineup! Sasquatch takes place at the Gorge on May 25th - 28th.
It's been six years since Pick of Destiny, the last Tenacious D album/their first and only commercially disappointing movie, and ... Read the full article at http://www.prefixmag.com/news/ tenacious-d-return-announce-fi rst-album-in-six-yea/61401/
When you get an email from a friend that reads, "post on Sly asap. Boom. Get your rocket sauce ready and start doing your cock pushups," you know you're in for a treat. So, because Ben Smallen asked nicely, here is the first song from the upcoming album by The D. I really don't know anything about " Rize of the Fenix " other than it heralds the possibility of the grand return of The Tenacious D, the mock-rock duo comprised of Jack Black and Kyle Gass. [...]

Tenacious D have announced that they'll be releasing a new album this May. The album is titled Rize Of The Fenix and is the follow up to 2006's The Pick Of Destiny . The band have also announced they'll be playing the Sasquatch Festival ( info here ). Head over to www.TenaciousD.com to hear a snippet of the album right now.

Sasquatch! , held every year in the Pacific Northwest, isn't regarded as one of the bigger music festivals in the United States, but is usually regarded as one of the best. Last year, festival organizers enlisted the talents of the Foo Fighters , Wilco , Death Cab for Cutie , Modest Mouse , The Flaming Lips , and lot more over the course of four (yes, four) days. While that may be fairly impressive for what isn't regarded as one of the year's bigger events, this year's does boast a fairly heavy - [...]

The annual Sasquatch festival, definitely a festival that I need to attend in the very near future, announced a killer line up for this year's installment. Recently solo Jack White, along with Beck and Bon Iver, will be headlining the George, WA based three-day event. Also leading the way are Pretty Lights, Tenacious D, The Shins, Girl Talk, St. Vincent, Feist, and Silversun Pickups. But that's not all who you'll get to see at the Gorge Ampitheatre this year. Also performing this year are Metric, Mogwai, Explosions In The Sky, The Head [...]
"Following last year's 10th anniversary, which crushed previous attendance records and set a new mark for the speed with which tickets sold out, the Sasquatch! Music Festival unveils its 2012 lineup which once again features 4 days of music. The festival, hailed as "a model of well-paced programming...in a four-day schedule as efficient and natural feeling as an expertly built algorithm" by NPR Music while Wired notes, "leave the landscape out of it and Sasquatch! has a lineup to kill for," runs May 25-28 (Memorial Day Weekend) at The Gorge, the internationally acclaimed concert venue carved in the basalt cliffs [...]

Just like the Phoenix...um, I mean Fenix, Tenacious D will rise again! Or so says Jack Black in a new track from the D appropriately called "Rize Of The Fenix" (via CoS ). It's a short track that doesn't even breach 50 seconds and all acoustic as Black sings about the band's woes after their 2006 film, The Pick Of Destiny , was panned by the critics. But the band's resilience continues to spiral upwards as we should expect to get a brand new album from Black and Kyle Gass in May. [...]
Tenacious D , the self-proclaimed "greatest band on earth," are set to release their long-awaited third album, entitled Rize of the Fenix, later this year. Details have been sparse, but that should change at 4PM PST when they will make an announcement of some sort, according to the new album's website . The full-band version of The D recently made a surprise appearance at one of drummer Brooks Wackerman's sets in L.A. As of now there are two planned festival performances scheduled for Jack Black, Kyle Gass and the rest of their band mates this June - [...]

UK rockers, get ready to do some dancing and some headbanging at Donington Park this year. The line up for the 10th annual Download festival was recently announced and the line up is rather big for fans of hard rock and metal. Headlining this whole shindig are Metallica, Black Sabbath and The Prodigy. You've also got Chase & Status, Biffy Clyro and Soundgarden providing support (even though I think Soundgarden should be a headliner but that's just me.) Other bands appearing include Tenacious D, Machine Head, Lamb of God, You Me At Six, Trivium, [...]
In the first of tonight's Download Festival 2012 announcements, Soundgarden, Biffy Clyro, YouMeAtSix, Chase and Status and Tenacious D have been added to the bill of this year's festival.
