Jack Black and co. managed quite the spectacle for "Rize of the Fenix", probably in an attempt to top the absurd crew of celebrities they ringed in for their last visual foray (Val Kilmer, Tim Robbins, etc). This time around its an effects show, complete with demons and goofy swords.
After tagging Val Kilmer, Dave Grohl, Tim Robbins, and half a dozen other celebrities for their last clip , Tenacious D scrounged up an even bigger Hollywood budget for "Rize of the Fenix", and blew it all on special effects. Tenacious D's first album will always have a special place in my heart. It reminds of simpler times and dick jokes. Which is sometimes all you can really hope for.
