"The wonderfully simple lo-fi jangle...perfectly captures the naïve freedom and enchantment of youth, from aimless drives along the coast to late nights in diners to innocent prom-night romance..." - A.V. Club We are extremely psyched/honored to announce our latest Forest Family Records release: the limited new double A-side blue vinyl 73 single from one of the most charming bands in existence, Denver's Tennis . The single contains two of Patrick & Alaina's best songs to date: the breezy, infectious physical A-side " Origins " features an expanded palette of instrumentation, and [...]

We’ve spent the last several months writing and preparing for what we hope will keep us busy all winter. We will be announcing a Forest Family release in the next couple of weeks as well as tour dates to make up for the Vaccines tour cancellations. Also, we are excited to announce the existence of our next album (produced by our new friend Patrick Carney) coming out early next year. In the meantime, we made this cover of the Zombies “Tell Her No.” It’s been a long time favorite of ours and is the best use [...]

If you're a long-time reader of this blog, I'm sure you have come to grips at some point that I tend to be a little late on a lot of new music news. It could be a couple days, weeks, or even months before something comes across my radar. It happens, and so is the case with this excellent cover by the husband and wife duo Tennis of The Zombies' "Tell Her No." But, when you're able to keep up on the news through great blogs like Tympanogram , than this kind of thing is hopefully forgiven. [...]

Escute aqui: Tell Her No by tennisinc Leia [...]

This track was everywhere yesterday, so I'm sure many of you might of come across this. I tend to post stuff whenever, not necessarily when it exactly comes out, I hate racing other blogs. Tennis has been having a pretty good year, really gaining some momentum in the industry. The husband and wife team returned with a cover of "Tell Her No" by the Zombies . I really like this version, has a nostalgic, but dreamy feel. The track is short, just clocking in over 2 minutes, but this has been my most repeated song of the [...]

Denver based duo Tennis has released a fine cover of the 1965 Zombies hit 'Tell Her No' which you can listen to below. The couple will also have their next Lp produced by The Black Keys which we certainly have no problem with. Their latest album ' Cape Dory' is still in heavy rotation. Tennis - 'Tell Her No' (The Zombies Cover)

While memories and recollections of summer may swiftly become jaded and as irreversibly faded as most sleeve artwork that's been seeped out onto the internet of late, Denver's great nostalgia excavators and adorable husband/wife duo (aided by drummer James Barone) Tennis' cover of The Zombies' Tell Her No taps into the purely estival, guitars drenched in what genuinely sounds like sunset contributing to an adorable, unerringly accurate interpretation. The Zombies are the sort of act that have the potential to be the favourite band of anyone and quite potentially everyone exposed to their wistful brilliance thus if you're [...]

While Tennis are still working on their follow up to Cape Dory , they have dropped off another bright, little cover in The Zombies’ “Tell Her No”. I don’t care that today is the first day that actually feels like Fall, I’m getting my Raybans on. Tell Her No by tennisinc

It's a big day for Denver-based duo Tennis ! Today, the pair released their cover of The Zombie's 1965 hit "Tell Her No," which you can listen to below. As well, as reported by Gorilla vs. Bear , The Black Key 's Patrick Carney will be producing not only the band's upcoming Origins 7", but the follow-up LP to last year's Cape Dory. Here's what Tennis had to say about the cover as well as their upcoming work: We've spent the last several months writing and preparing [...]
At some point in the coming months, we should be hearing the lead single off Tennis' upcoming, Patrick Carney-produced sophomore album. But before that happens, the husband-wife duo would like to remind us of an act that has greatly influenced psych-pop outfits over the years. And Tennis have done so by covering the Zombies' "Tell Her No," off the band's self-titled debut. If you didn't know any better, you would likely assume this is a Tennis original considering how closely it treads to the material heard on this year's Cape Dory . Is [...]

Husband and wife duo Tennis were the darlings of the blogoshpere earlier this year with the release of their debut LP, Cape Dory. They are back with the announcement that they are currently working on the follow up record scheduled to hit early next year. They also have a 7" on the not so distant horizon. Today they released a charming little rendition of the Zombies Tell Her No. Tell Her No by tennisinc

Photo by Philip Cosores Tennis stick close to their comfort zone with the direct and honest take on The Zombies 1965 song "Tell Her No." This cover tune is just the beginning of what could be an outpouring of new material from the two-piece, as they already have a new 73 titled Origins ready to spring on the world and are hard at work preparing to create their next album, which they hope to be working on all winter.
