Thank God – Ice/Age South Carolina Hardcore band, Thank God, is gearing up to release their debut album, Ice/Age . I just listened to the title track, and it's pretty interesting. The first half of the song sounds a bit like early Dillinger Escape Plan, while the second half is ambient-type stuff. All in all, its pretty cool. I haven't heard too much stuff like this in a while. Not sure if the scene dissipated or if its just a lower profile. Either way, Ice/Age will be released through Exotic Fever Records on July 20th.

We've never been to Columbia, SC. All we know about it (thanks to Wikipedia) is that it's nicknamed "The Capital of Southern Hospitality" and that US News & World Report named it one of 2009's best affordable places to retire. But add another accolade to that list in the form of experimental punk jam band Thank God .
