I don't think there's a label out there I like more than WeePOP! Virtually everything they release is incredibly good, with releases in the past from Allo Darlin', The Smittens, The Just Joans and pretty much anyone else who is anyone in the indiepop world. As such, they are one of the few labels where I'll gladly listen to anything they put out, even if I'm not even vaguely familiar with the band in question. My orders arrived yesterday, including these two 33 cds and the very welcome candy and badge that Camila always puts into the envelope. There is a growing underground force of pop labels releasing music on nontraditional formats. Of these formats, two prevalent ones, at least in the lo-fi pop and twee pop arenas, are cassette and the 3-inch single. Being such a strong fan of the genres that release via these formats, one would think I would have the ability to play them when they arrive in my mailbox. Unfortunately, I do not at this time.
