While the decidedly middle-of-the-road mood of A Chorus of Storytellers won't get anyone fired up, the way that mood is constructed is the album's primary appeal. There's something sad and distant about A Chorus of Storytellers. So there's this splendid series on HBO (obviously) which is called In Treatment and is about a therapist (Gabriel Byrne) who, well, treats his patients. And at the close of every ep, these startling and bewitching sounds roll in, all tempestuous and stuff.
