During my daily peruse of the ever reliable NME.com (I just read it for Tabloid Hell really), I came across an article claiming that The Avalanches are nearly finished their second LP. Wanting a substantial source I checked out The Av's myspace page and it looks like NME was right (for once). It took a while for the Midnight Juggernauts' latest album Dystopia to really set in for me, but parts of it have since grown on me and I just can't stop listening to tracks like "Into the Galaxy" and "End of An Era." The Midnight Juggernauts track that really hit me over the head was "Shadows", mostly because of the dance-heavy rhythm and those colorful psychedelic synths. They made a big splash back in 2000 with their debut album Since I Left You , which was assembled from approximately 3,500 samples from old records, films, and TV shows.
