![The Bellfuries [Feature Band]](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/1312778_lg.jpg)
Written by Fense Not too long ago-more specifically, earlier this year-I wrote that The Explorers Club release Freedom Wind could have been the record The Beach Boys released after Pet Sounds . While that statement is a bit of a stretch, as few titles can live up to the Pet Sounds name, all the press on The Bellfuries seem to dub Palmyra with a similar, Beach Boys-y label. I disagree. Freedom Wind is quite a bit more... well... [...]
The Bellfuries can only be described as modern day 50's Rock n' Roll. The pop power blend that is the Bellfuries along with descriptive lyrics fused together with soft, easygoing musiccreates this blast from the past style of music that takes you to another time. The rhythm of this band is similar to what [...]

Austin, TX ,The Bellfuries started out as three piece roots rock trio, and like many of their predecessors before them, began to feel stylistically confined by the limitations of the genre music they were playing. Branching out to a more melodic pop sound was their obvious next step. Reworking their songwriting style and band lineup seems to have done the trick. The end result is Palmyra , a dozen songs that follow closely in the power pop tradition of bands like NRBQ , Rockpile with Nick Lowe [...]

Every week (as lazy as we are it will probably be every couple of weeks )we are going to clean out our inbox and provide all the mp3's that were made available to us, to you.
