Last week the Gothenburg band The Berndt released their debut album "GBGBG". My expectations were rather high before the release, but I wasn't disappointed. Charming and characteristic is the least I can say about The Berndt's energic punk-pop-indie. För många år sedan lät Tony Hawk utvecklaren Neversoft använda hans namn för ett skateboardspel. Nu några år senare, och när Neversoft inte längre är utvecklarna bakom serien, har spelen tappat den gnista de en gång hade. Och en av många anledningar till detta är musiken. After my last post about the band The Berndt have entrusted me with an exclusive from their upcoming album. That record will be called CBGBG and is due out January 27. "Hurried Feathers" practically throbs and pulses with energy which is fitting from a band that loves doing live shows and getting folks up and dancing. The Berndt has gone the modern route by posting videos of the recording process, photos, and a diary so check out their website for more info about the new record. [...]

The Berndt are feverishly working away at their new record. It was rumoured to be out in the spring of 2009 but no sight of it yet. So for now let's listen to two tracks from their 2008 release. 8 Bits Walked For The Future
