I don't post new music very often, but when I do.... there is invariably going to be some new shit you've never heard and absolutely love. If you dig the tracks that I post, make sure to subscribe to the free email list to get updates whenever new music is available. Mmmm... It has been chilly [...]

if I put my fingers in your mouth would you bite them? ♫ The Bravery - Hatefuck I just think the lyric above is pretty funny when taken out of context. What kind of question is that? Anyway, as far as comeback-singles go, "Slow Poison" (below) is poised for a TBE Digest but unnfortunately I had to go and listen to the album and got into the unfortunately named "Hatefuck" (above). Speaking of unfortunately, Sam Endicott is still singing in that constipated voice of his and most of the [...]

Micachu and The Shapes, '

Happy New Year, everybody. Anybody made any resolutions for 2010 yet? I don't usually make any, because I wind up breaking them in a matter of days or weeks. I think making high minded resolutions sets yourself up for disappointment. Instead, I just try to start the year with my sights on making this year better than the last. [...]
An Honest Mistake MP3 File
Well folks, Christmas is just hours away and St. Nicholas is gearing up for his lengthy trip around the world. Dinners are in the process of being prepared, cases of beer are on ice and the kids are in the yard carving out snow angels. The Yuletide season has descended upon us without a doubt and all those cheerful Christmas feelings are in the air. To celebrate these joyous meanderings, legendary Los Angeles rock radio station KROQ hosted their yearly Almost Acoustic Christmas concert recently back on December 12th & 13th which featured some of the [...]

Filed under: News , New Music , Exclusive Shakira had a hit on her hands earlier this fall with 'She Wolf,' the title track from her new album, but it turns out there was a rather unexpected he-man behind the song -- Sam Endicott of the Bravery . The frontman teamed up with producer John Hill, who also co-helmed the Bravery's new effort, 'Stir The Blood,' to write a trio of tracks for Shakira's latest LP. "Shakira contacted him and said, 'I'd be interested to [...]
...only because they can't seem to get a break. The press hates them more than the Killers. I might just like them out of spite, at this point. My credibility is not at stake, as I am not a musician, just a person with hearing. Lord knows, I very much dislike some artists and I am actually afraid to say "I don't get it" publicly (say, over-rated MBV, Fl Li, Ni Dr, Suf Ste, Jack J, Jason M, White S, The Doodletown Pipers, 99% of "R&B" and a great many industrial acts (VAC?)) because people freak-out if you [...]
Filed under: The Hit List , UK It was no less an authority than Chuck D who yelled out, "Don't believe the hype!" but the fact remains that music and the language of hyperbole go hand in hand. Even before Andrew Loog Oldham asked the question "Would you let your daughter marry a Rolling Stone?" the practice of creating a buzz existed in one form or another. Yet be that as it may, some bands suffer from too much hype. Whether they fail to deliver on [...]

The Bravery 's Stir the Blood was released earlier this month, and in support of the release the band are giving away a guitar in support of the release. It's not hard to enter, just fill out the form on this website . Meanwhile, check out The Bravery's latest video for "Slow Poison" at YouTube .

THE BRAVERY STIR THE BLOOD (Island) www.thebravery.com When The Bravery first broke with mainstream success, it seemed like an attempt from their label to duplicate the success that they had with The Killers. Both bands were signed to Island, and both have this sort of post punk dance rock sound. The Bravery never achieved quite the level of success of The Killers. However, that might be because, despite the similarities on paper, they aren't a Killers-lite. If anything, The Bravery's latest album, Stir the Blood [...]

The Bravery is absolutely everywhere these days. From the CW to the CD store to yesterday's MP3 At 3PM, the guyliner boys from New York City are back in a big way. What better way to celebrate than with a remix of "Slow Poison," from the band's latest album, Stir The Blood (Island)? And who better [...]
Apparently "The Spectator," from the Bravery's new Stir The Blood (Island), was featured in a November episode of CW series The Vampire Diaries. We wouldn't know, of course, because we don't watch that sort of thing. Even if those dark, brooding, undead hunks are pretty dreamy. Come to think of it, "dark and brooding" describes the [...]

The Bravery release third album 'Stir the Blood.'

As promised, here is the official soundtrack of the 4th season of Grey's Anatomy. Other than Grey's Anatomy, other hit shows like Gossip Girl, Chuck, Fringe, Glee, Dollhouse, One Tree Hill, Ugly Betty, House and many more. You've got to give a hand to the music supervisors of these shows for their success. The music is not perfect, but it's certainly entertaining. The show goes mostly for indie favorites like The National, Ingrid Michaelson, The Gossip, Tegan and Sara, The Bird and the Bee, Bon Iver, Feist, Goldfrapp, Rilo Kiley, Frightened Rabbit, The Republic Tigers, Yeah Yeah Yeahs and more. [...]
I tried warm milk, tried counting sheep, I even tried counting fucking polar bears, but nothing helped me get any shut-eye. Who knew that polar bears were fucking party animals? But my loss of sleep is your gain, as I have once again so graciously cooked up another batch of the best late-night performances of the week. We got everything from some scratchy-throat classics to baby-making music. Enjoy while its still light out... Jimmy Kimmel Live (ABC) December 3, 2009 Honor Society Something tells me these dudes aren't exactly hardcore. With a very pop [...]

Filed under: News , New Music , Exclusive New York City's the Bravery dropped their third album, 'Stir the Blood,' on Tuesday, and as fans can attest, it's their darkest record to date. While the sounds are heavier, frontman Sam Endicott doesn't think he is a bleaker person these days. "I think that I am more comfortable expressing that side of myself, whereas in the past I would pretend that it didn't exist," he tells Spinner. "I would see it there on paper [in my journal]; [...]
