... The Bumblebeez are an Australian indie band, formed by Christopher Colonna and his sister Pia Colonna (AKA Queen ViLa). The band's music has been described as a, "cut'n'paste collision of noisy hip-hop and rock." Their full-length debut album was Prince Umberto & The Sister Of Ill , released in 2007. Listen to their take on Jagwar Ma's 'Come Save Me" remixed

Everybody knows a Dave for sure. The Dave we know is someone special: one of the most promising young Greek producers. Today, NTEIBINT (pronounced David - greek wordplay) finally released his first EP "Everybody Knows A Dave" on Bang Gang 123, and we're really excited. It features four original tracks and three remixes by the likes of ATTAR! (already posted here ), Bumblebeez, and Tunnel Signs. If you don't already, you should absolutely get to know NTEIBINT. This release is a good start. [...]

NTEIBINT, whose remix for The Rapture's " How Deep Is Your Love? " was posted here in November, released his debut Everybody Knows A Dave EP. The record is out since April 11 via Bang Gang 123. "It's a mixture of slow, guitar driven electronica with some early dance vibes. It also includes a proto-rap collaboration with MC Yinka, a 802s style track." There are also ATTAR!, Tunnelk Signs, and Bumblebeez remixes.

Multi-genrelists Bumblebeez have laid down a pretty sweet remix of "Come Save Me" for Jagwar Ma , current alias of Sydney's Jono Ma. A really smooth, danceable affair, this one is sure to get you feeling good. It's almost as if we're listening to a live performance of this!
Wow... this is so weird and so good. I don't know anything about either of these two artists in the original creators, T he Bumblebeez , or the remixer-uppers in Jagwar Ma , but upon the recommendation to listen and perchance play on my radio show (which I did last night ) , I give this two mega rad and beastly thumbs up. Holy WHAT is this? [...]

Unless you're getting excited about the X-Factor winner's inevitable Christmas release, or happy to step on the band-wagoning, anti-Cowell, counter-single, usually of something equally as pointless, then you can consider December something of graveyard when it comes to discovering new music. Now that the BBC Sound Of 2011 Poll has been announced, most record labels, PR firms, or self-promoting artists are now going to wait until the new year before pushing any serious, new contenders our way. It's understandable, as Christmas retail is for the mass market and the various commentators on music also need holidays too. It's [...]

What do you get when you mix the Wild West with a solid dose of Tech House? You get Wordlife's remix of The Bumblebeez's 'Cowboy' which features on Bumblebeez latest remix EP out on Bang Gang 12 Inches , which if you haven't noticed already have a good reputation for putting out solid Electronic music from local and international artists. Wordlife, a new production duo from Sydney plan to release their own EP of originals as well as remixes in the upcoming months. Can't wait to hear what they've been cookin up in [...]

Dan Avery, aka Stopmakingme , just dropped his new EP "Rattle" on Bang Gang 123. The release features three original tracks and In Flagranti, Remute and Bumblebeez on remix duties. In his own words: "Rattle is designed for big room sets where the bassline is everything, Smint is a nod to weirdo electronica from the past decade and Tempo was inspired in equal parts by White Town and Nine Inch Nails, opposite ends of the sexual spectrum." Great stuff! Stopmakingme - Rattle EP [...]

SOUND: electric/acidic. BEST PLAYED: in a cave lit with red lights. What are the Bumblebeez up to these days? Apparently slaving away on an album called Pirates . Listen Click HERE to download! "We rolling from the top, you never going to stop - and that's the way it is" Don't they look happy to see us? 'Dr. Love' by Australian electro duo Bumblebeez is the definition of that track you're convinced you've heard a number of times in your life but can never quite place why or how, or perhaps more importantly what it is. The band consists of brother-sister duo Christopher and Pia Colonna from a tiny town in New South Wales [...]
A gem of a band and a gem of a record label. I first turned you lot onto the activities of this awesome label via this find which I posted here . This time Hi-Scores got in contact with some rad new stuff, notably via Mon Khmer . The sweetest indie you will ever hear in your lives. Haunting vocals, these are honestly, skillfully written guitar pop songs. I want to blast this in my car and just - escape. Except I dont have a car. Anyway LISTEN to this beauty please: [...]

Suicide Sundaes – stop your grinnin' and drop your linen. Every Sunday electblake of Earmilk will bring you the weeks dirty servings, and some old favorites through a throwdown-throwback to simpler times. A time when bangers were big, remixes were bigger, the bassline bled, and we didn't care about anything as long as came in kicking and left screaming. To hell with sketchy Sunday, we want to shove another dragon down the hole. Last week sucked. I rushed through it - I'm sorry. This week is better. This week has gems. This week is below. [...]

I just finished packing and I couldn't be more excited to get out of Canada for a while. I am going down to Rio for a little while to check out the music and relax by the beach even though its going to be warmer in Toronto. Oh well thats nothing 30 cent beers and brazilian bbq can't fix. As much as I love Toronto I must say I wont be missing it for a while. Bumblebeez- Rio (Crookers Bang Remix) Share and [...]

Derek Miller (guitar/production) and Alexis Krauss (vocals) make up Brooklyn noise-pop duo Sleigh Bells . Not only do they make music your mum used to warn you about - "it's just noise" is actually completely accurate - but they're also signed to M.I.A 's N.E.E.T label and Miller helped out on his bosses brand new album. Not bad for a band who only got together after Krauss - who had just left a crappy girl band - and Miller were forced into making music together by Krauss' mother. Their debut album, Treats, has just been released [...]

Starting this post off with a BANG, I think I'll expose some of you to some new talent. DIE ANTWOORD are a crazy trio from South Africa. Kinda like the Afrikaans answer to Coco Solid or Bumblebeez . Check their insane video below. SLAP IN THE BASS are a bassline/electro/house duo specialising in Lee Mortimer -esque insanity, though parts of it remind me of the more ravey Kicks Like A Mule , Squire of Gothos or Kanji Kinetic . They're also known as Dirty Monkeez , who [...]
weird 'n wonderful video for The Bumblebeez ' Misfit directed by the Glue Society
