Today is a balmy 27°. Last night went into single digits, but I'm not complaining. This has been too warm a winter to warrant any complaints. Not only that but it's already mid-January, and we haven't had any snow. I guess my sled will stay in the cellar for a while longer. I crave color. The world is just so drab after Christmas. Yesterday reached over 60°. It was an absolutely gorgeous day filled with warmth and sunshine. Today is no slouch either. The temperature is already 45°. I didn't see a winter coat all morning when I went to breakfast. The nights are in the 302s but it is, after all, winter. The last of Christmas is disappearing as I write. Australia's Little Red took the challenge presented by music site AV Club and covered the holiday tune 'Christmas Lights'. Turns out this song - not the Coldplay one released in 2010 - is also by an Australian by the name of Neil Gray. Who knew? Little Red covers "Christmas Lights"

Today I've got something a little bit different, in spirit of the holidays. Now some Americans take putting up Christmas lights a little far, but now I've got an insane show, choreographed to Skrillex - First of The Year (Equinox) , which has the epic music video if you missed it. AUDIOVISUALS/// Coldplay - Christmas Lights First new material in just over two years turns out to be well worth the wait. Even if it was only really announced last week. A song in two parts, it's an interesting glimpse of what the band have been up to. The new album is very definitely due next year, and while this won't be on it, it proves that two years away from the spotlight hasn't affected them at all. This is very good, and not just for a Christmas single.

Coldplay offers the brand new visuals for their new holiday single entitled, "Christmas Lights". The video is directed by Mat Whitecross.

Tired of all the Christmas covers playing on the radio and at the mall? B-Sides fave, Coldplay, have put out a new holiday single to keep things bright and cheerful, titled "Christmas Lights". The song was announced for release back in November 24 with a curious little statement that the song is written "in the key of G". Possibly referencing an old lawsuit? Gotta give it up to Chris Martin & co. "Christmas Lights" is great. It has all those components that make for good holiday music, feelings of nostalgia, feelings of warmth, and feelings of familiarity. "Christmas Lights" sounds familiar, probably cause it is, after all, Coldplay. "Christmas Lights" feels warm, it feels like a reminder.
