Let's go on a camping trip with that wacky couple from "We Will Never Be Discovered" ! Oh, and did I mention we'll be surrounded by zombies? Directed by Cetusss and Le Contremaître et sa Contremaîtresse (Translations?), this new video from The City and Horses also feature our beloved orange duo. The visuals contain zombie madness but as a production associated with Marc, "Dum Dee Dum" is delightfully kooky. The track itself contains beautiful vocals from Katie Costello . You can own this song from The City and Horses' We Will [...]

i've been digging this new album by the city and horses . the band's album we will never be discovered is out on paper garden records . the album is a super friendly collection of somewhat quirky. really colorful indie-pop songs that reminds me of this classic album by jonathan richman & the modern lovers, with the clever lyrical with of fountains of wayne. below, download the title song and stream the album.
We Will Never Be Discovered is so much fun that you might find yourself actually laughing at brilliance.

So much to catch up on...here's a few tracks to tickle the earbuds. Veteran noisemongering indie rockers Comet Gain have given us another track from their excellent album Howl Of The Lonely Crowd , this time it is the marvellously titled Clang Of The Concrete Swans . Download Comet Gain - Clang Of The Concrete Swans mp3 (from Howl Of The Lonely Crowd) Acid Baby Jesus deliver (as you might surmise) a full throttle blend of scuzzy garage rock, and they do it better than [...]
I have no explanation for this video. It is extremely quirky and ridiculous. A man and a woman with a fascination for everything orange, just being weird. I mean these are some pretty slick moves done by the Zach Galifianakis look alike. The City and Horses , a product of our mates at Paper Garden Records, recently debuted this video for "We Will Never Be Discovered" is pysch indie pop at it's finest. Actually, these guys are starting to get discovered from many, and for very good reason. We WIll Never Be Discovered will [...]

The great thing about turntable.fm is all the new music that you discover from it's various users. Our friends over at Paper Garden Records have been matriculating from room to room, playing many of the artists on their label, including The City and Horses and Little Tybee , who we recently recorded a Laundromatinee.com session . Needless to say, we've been picking up what they're puttin' down. This week, The City and Horses released a quirky little video for the title track from their album, [...]
"We Will Never Be Discovered" The band is The City And Horses. The dancers are French. The costumes are Orchard orange. The dance moves are WTF. The album is awesome. It's called "We Will Never Be Discovered." It's out September 27 on Paper Garden Records. You have plenty of time to ...
![[Ones To Watch] – Introducing – The City And Horses](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/3698687_lg.jpg)
Tweet An opening track called "We Will Never Be Discovered" is just asking to be discovered. How very clever of The City And Horses. Though, the quirky, catchy tune is hard to ignore - think Architecture In Helsinki meets Edward Sharpe And The Magnetic Zeros , combining quirky and poppy melodies with a folksy twist and a flute. Paper Garden Records discovered a little gem in The City And Horses - who could probably form their own mini city alone, given [...]

We've had enough rain here in Greenville to last us awhile, so we offer rain from a different cloud. A bit slow this week, but here's a few we like: The City and Horses - We Will Never Be Discovered The title of this slacker anthem screams "Brooklyn Hipster" but its heavy hook, wonky arrangement (flute, horns), and mantra of pessimism is too irresistible to ignore. You need to check out the video too. [...]

Tweet Birthday Mixtape - Side A by Soundsgoodtometoo A year ago today I was still recovering from the Reading Festival and sat at home contemplating that perhaps my musical career was never quite going to happen. It had been over a decade since Brother Jonny and the Monks and I still hadn't learnt to actually play any instruments. Time to move on. Instead, I decided to instigate the next best thing; a music blog. 2 hours later Sounds Good [...]

A children's television producer and a local music creator by the name of Marc is one fascinating man. Signed with Paper Garden Records, Marc manages to keep The City and Horses in the shadows of Brooklyn's indie music scene. According to Time Out New York , Marc produces music that is both "wise and disarmingly wistful". Facebook says some of his influences are Jens Lekman, The Smiths, Pulp, and Joseph Peter Mrnarevic. The City and Horses are a sweet-sounding band with poppy tunes and choruses from Marc's delectable voice. He just released an awkwardly funny [...]
We don't quite know what to make of The City and Horses new video for "We Will Never be Discovered." The pair dressed in orange and dancing in a background that could come out of an Apple or T-Mobile commercial is a simple concept, but sort of disturbing. View it above.
