The Coke Dares played Columbus on Friday, and they definitely left an impression to the people in our message board . I wasn't there, but I think Billy summed it up best: "The efficiency of the Ramones and the spirit of GBV" The songs are short. I mean SHORT. Quick, fun bursts of energy. I ran across this little band last week thanks to Sonya , and I have been listening to them steadily since. Magic Surprise sounds like something that could be from the DFA fam, with a little less punch. They also sort of gave me the Datarock vibe with those 80's guitars and synth. All that = good.
