A new song has emerged from Damon Albarn's concept album Dr. Dee , which is about John Dee who was an advisor to Elizabeth I. The song is pretty simple just a lightly strummed acoustic guitar and eventually some claps with background humming. Albarn's vocal delivery is pitched pretty impeccably making the story in the lyrics impactful. Simple as the visual accompaniment is, it is easy to lose yourself watching the traffic go by. Julia Holter has released a video for one of the dreamiest tracks on her new album, "Moni Mon Amie". It has some nice light synthesizers laced throughout as well as some ambient effects. Lyrically, the song touches down on envy and jealousy, which have a direct impact on the visuals here in the video. Those days aren't entirely gone—all-star lineups certainly populate the Jazz Fest late night scene, and they're still a feature of the NYC music world—but somehow the mystique and excitement just isn't what it once was. The Concept , the Swedish supergroup made up of membrs from Robyn, Tove Styrke, MRTN, and Veronica Maggio, are poised to make one of the biggest splashes in the indie-rock field this year. Their new single, "D-D-Dance" is all about jangly goodness, and dancing your ass off to infectious rhythms and suave European vocals. I mean the song's message is simple enough, and it wants you to exactly what the title so explicably suggests. While the debut record won't be out until the end of the year, I think I can enjoy playing this about 1,000 more times.

Essa foi dica do grande DJ Buddy Holly ( @djbuddyy ). Depois de algum tempo, o Phoenix está de música nova... ops, quer dizer, o The Concept. A banda sueca possui praticamente a mesma sonoridade dos franceses, principalmente no que diz respeito aos vocais. Não há como não estabelecer uma comparação direta com a voz de Thomas Mars. O indie pop dançante e de refrões fáceis também soa praticamente igual. Mas, pode ser ainda cedo para estabelecer o The Concept como uma cópia deslavada.
